I had a top level Warrantywise policy on my 4200. I made two claims during my ownership. One for a broken reverse lever and one for something else that's slipped my mind at the moment. On both occasions Warrantywise were excellent. They liased with the garages, agreed the repairs quickly and settled their bills immediately. In fact, Bill McGraths actually commented upon how efficient Warrantywise were compared to other warranty companies that they had dealt with.

Proof is in the pudding and I took out a Warrantywise policy as soon as I bought my Quattroporte. At about £1500, it is expensive compared to some other policies. But, it gives peace of mind and I believe is worth the outlay.

that does sound alot, are you likely to get £2600 worth of breakdown/mechanic failures within 3 years?

Mine was just 10 at the weekend and got a quote a couple of days before which last 30 days. You can claim as many times as need to with a max of£5k per claim and up to the vehicle value in my case £15k

I had a warranty for the first year of 3200 ownership, think it cost me a grand. For the next six years I've not bothered, and nothing has gone wrong. You could argue that its luck that I am 6 grand up, as it were, but I just don't get peace of mind from warranties as I have heard one too many horror stories about attempted claims. The policy I had was incredibly vague about what I could and could not claim for.

Had them for a year. Covered two items, first was spigot bearing, had no problems with that. They even covered an oil leak but that was a bit of hassle. On the whole I'd say they're good to very good, policy docs were a little misleading but they have improved, admin side is excellent and are expensive ( but you get what you pay for). Would I use them again? Thinking about it.......

I have a WarranrtWise warranty which came with the car. It covered a lambda sensor replacement and I was really impressed at how easy the process was, and how fast. Lancaster (local MD) told me they recommend WarrantyWise for cars which are covered by a Maserati warranty. Not sure if I will renew mine when it comes due in May.

Not wholly sure where a lambda fix would come into it....had they failed prematurely or what happened as they are on the service schedule

Dicky uses them and swears by them.

I've had two (small) claims on the policy he kindly supplied my car with and on both occasions they were as easy as pie to deal with. Yes, Claire at Bill McGraths rates them very highly (they did both small jobs for me) and says they are the most straight-forward to deal with. McGraths have a good relationship with them now and Claire tells me they occasionally ring her for advice on hours quoted on some of their other claims.

McGraths also just squeeze in under their hourly rate allowance. I doubt they would pay main dealers' hourly rates.

They've offered me a lifetime cover (for as long as I keep the car) for £1,600, limited to £2,000 per claim. I'm quite tempted.

It was picked up at the service (the engine management light came on on the way to the service... nicely timed!) but was considered as a premature failure.

So Warranty-Wise are considered a fair company then, compared to most who are not that good..??
