Remember the Navtrak units battery fails after about 5 years and it constantly drains power from the batter, resulting in flat batteries after 5 days left unstarted. If you can, its best to disconnect them. Most are under the rear parcel shelf and you can simply disconnect by removing the rear seat and disconnecting the multiplug.

I normally turn off the battery isolator as I only use the car at weekends, mine is over five years old but not sure if it connected around the isolator switch or not, anyone know?

also found out yesterday that the quote did not even use my NCB so I can use it on my other car which will make that quote cheaper as well, .

Same for me, so I have used my NCB for my daughter's car insurance - V5 in my name but car really hers - saved £1000 on what she was being quoted!

Will have a look at the weekend - is the rear seat removal straightforward? Not seen a Haynes Masser manual!

I did mine through the boot, removing all of the lining gave me access to all of the crittical Navtrac parts for removal; saves about 3 kg too!

Interesting one that, you would have thought that it should be a direct connection to the battery, but that would make it very easy to disconnect, although the battery in the Navtrak unit should last a good few days if not weeks if healthy you would have thought.

I will be ringing them in November - thought mine was good c£500 with a £750 excess with Aviva, mind you after a total loss payout within 4 days of insurance, and 3 points, they might not be so agreeable
