They sure did a V6.
I had one of the last 2004 models after Rover went bust.
Bought it new for 50% of list price and lost very little in over two years.
A 2.5 litre V6.

Want an honest assessment?
Well I bought it after picking up a few points in mt Alfa GTV cup; so needed to be cautious for a while (just like now in fact).
Chose the most extravagant model in the range (bar the V8 of course) and, image aside, it was a very well-made car.
Nothing of the old BL build, pure BMW quality but with British expertise. Fantastically well-equipped and the most comfortable car I have owned.
BUT, as you are all wanting to hear, it was NOT a driver's car by any means.
The image is a real real problem now, but when I bought it, I had so many flattering comments from people of all ages - amazing!

Wasn't that a Honda V6? I stand corrected if Rover did make one but I seem to remember it was a Honda.
