What's wrong with this GS?

That Lotus is magic. I'd have that if the spare cash situation allowed.

Alistair and ADG are well respected, that GS must be worth a look, especially with the offer to change out the silly red badge. I, for one, like the black with tech cloth look. It's also a pre-tax rise car so a little cheaper to keep on the road.

Chaps, it may appear to have been for sale since January, however, it's a car we bought and sold this February to an internet/you tubey generation chap (my 10 year old daughter knew of him and his family and she was suitably impressed that we'd met him!) who, given his reality TV lifestyle success, came back to us in June to replace it with an MC Shift (not sure he cruises these parts though). We're now selling it for the second time this year and other than it might not be everyone's favourite colour combo it undoubtedly represents very good value for money compared with every other 54/05 GranSport for sale in the UK, at least £2500 better than its nearest competitor. If the only thing putting you off buying it is the (hand painted red trident) we'd happily replace it for free!, cheers, Alistair

Remember it up before because of the badge. To be honest the badge doesn't bother me. This is a very good value GS.

I can't imagine it's simply a wrong coloured badge that's stopping it from selling - that's not too difficult a fix!

I was vaguely interested in who this might be, but a word of warning chaps, don't search for "You tube Star Maserati" if you are at work... :)

My guess is that "Rude Tube" guy Alex Zane who does all the YouTube comedy highlights on channel 4 and used to present reality shows.

I had a look round this car in July, surprised to see it's still for sale.

Compared to other 40k Gransports this one looked well worn. One of the side skirts is cracked, there are tears and scuff marks on the interior, the clutch is nearly gone etc. It's certainly not in terrible condition, but most Gransports out there have been lovingly cared for and this one hasn't.

I walked away as it smelled like trouble, and in July you could still find the occasional perfect car for that price. Given how much prices have gone up in the last six months this one now looks cheap.

and hence why it is fairly priced. The side skirt repair and respray, your looking at £250, no more, the clutch at 59% (was it from memory???) will be fine for another 10k probably and the interior can be smart repaired quite cheaply. ADG sell their cars on negation. If you offer them the full asking price and request the repairs, then I am sure they will be accommodating. If you want to take it as it, then there will be a deal to be done.

Having seen this GS myself, I think that you've summed it up perfectly Matt.

I didn't mean to imply it was unfairly priced! Definitely one of the cheapest out there and other than a few cosmetic issues it really wasn't too bad.

How long does a GS usually take to sell?

Until there is a buyer for it! :D You asked!!!!

Chance your arm and make an offer well below the asking price, they can only say "No"!

Hmmmm...Hard one but with cars of this type and limited market it can take some time......
