    Selling the GTS

Hi guys, I too am thinking of selling the GTS this summer. I don't use it enough to justify keeping it much longer and I just got married so I need something more practical to use as a daily driver for the Mrs. After a rocky start, it's been an emotional journey, and just as I have started to...

    Lotus and Maserati, why?

I concur! I first considered a Cayman and went for an Exige and the second time around I considered a 911 and went for the GTS! Porsches, though lovely cars, are far too common and lack the wow / scarcity factor, unlike Lotus and Maserati that set themselves apart. It's likely that my...

Front suspension - top wishbone bushes broken

The parts are not too expensive, they do come come as a kit for each side, as you guys said, but the bulk of the charge is labour cost- apparently it is quite an intensive and time consuming job

    Rattling rear!

I am starting to have the same problem recently. Is this a quick/cheap fix? I have the car in for a service soon so will get it checked out. Fingers crossed it won't be too major as I no longer have warranty...

    Best Battery for a GTS

Sorry can't help, but would love to know the answer as well! Fwiw, I replaced my lotus with a Bosch battery years ago and never had issues after, even without a conditioner. I think they come with a standard 5 year warranty as well

    Boot release stopped working?

Unbelievable, I just thought that you had to open it from the dash or the key, meaning my switch has never worked from the boot since I got the car! I'll have to get someone more handy than me to take a look at it, thanks for the heads up!

Parking brake failure - common problem?

thanks - and is there a reliable way to leave the MC-S left in gear before switching off? I definitely recall this morning it kept going into neutral when switching off but tonight when I parked up it somehow stayed in gear! talk about temperamental...

Parking brake failure - common problem?

okay so I think I have managed to leave it in gear with the EPB off (I hope!). if you switch the engine off then switch the ignition half way until the lights turn on then you can deactivate the EPB. the gear remained engaged in 1st when I switched it off I think unless I also shifted up, I...

    Solar charger

I was trying to do some research before I bought one of these to find people's experience on forums but didnt seem much has been posted about these. Where I park I don't have access to power to trickle charge it and I don't use the car often so risk the battery draining. So I decided to buy one...

    Quickest route into London

Agree. I avoid driving in London as much as possible as its not fun and ******* the car in constant traffic, plus it's a bugger to park given its size! Only usually use for out of town trips, in London I use the tube/bus or cabs. If you're driving in or out, best to travel early, before 10am I...

Parking brake failure - common problem?

I think that's what happened to me without knowing why at the time - the car was idling for some minutes while I was fiddling around and think eventually boosted the battery enough to give the EPB enough power to disengage.
