I missed something in the past 10 pages, but are all the new cars to be Auto only? Shame.

I can see that they are trying to standardize the grill to the levante/ghibli/QP but as said it does not go with the car, and I have never been fond of that turbo celica hood scoop, but at least Maserati is *trying* to stay in the game.

It could be worse, they could just shut the brand down. In that sense, I am pleased they have done this, but won't be spending my pocket money just yet.

Had a chat with various Maserati people at Goodwood today, apparently what they're hearing is that this "new" GT is here for probably 2-3 years before the genuine new one. Alfieri is apparently definitely still happening but no dates still.

That was a beautiful car. Almost perfect spec (better would be TDF blue and the biscuity coloured interior). But I struggled with the £80k gap between mine and the Simon Furlonger one!

There is one car that deserves that combination!

That makes sense in that they would not invest (modestly) in the refresh for a year only and there are no mules running around Modena for a new coupe or they would be on the net.

Personally I would guess 3-4 years but no reason for this view other than Maserati's ability to disappoint historically. Also bet the car is launched a year before you can get it in RHD as has become the way.

Has the rear valance/bumper changed....it looks like black gills around the exhaust.

Those vents look little the droopy bits on a bull dogs face. Still not sure if I like the face lift or not....Have to see one in the flesh to decide I think.

Trying to be completely objective (a bit hard because I bought a 66 plate gts 6 months ago thinking it was one of the prettiest new cars you could buy at the time), I don't like the new gt's looks. The overall proportions remain of course but I think it's been somewhat spoiled by the side vent, removal of the pinin badge, and I quite dislike the new front grill. Bonnet for me is neither here nor there, I prefer the overall aesthetic of a strad which feels different to me somehow.

Of course I'd take an updated infotainment but if you gave me a choice between the two to buy right now and I didn't have mine? Pretty sure ud go with the 66 plate as I think it looks better.

IMG_20170629_105039.jpgNice to see a 3200 AC adorning the Maserati stand at Goodwood today. Looked in really lovely condition, although somewhat ironic given the company's total disregard for owners of them!

Having looked at the pictures on the Maserati website I like it more but it was unlikely that I would not as it is so similar to my car.

I can see an argument for buying one as a 20 year lock away for use as a summer weekend car - n/a engine, proper loud option, no dump valve noises etc etc. Oh and 'only' a 6 speed gearbox and minimal driver aids. It will look very, very old fashioned very soon which is part of the appeal. Bit like getting a V8 Vantage for the same reason but at least that can be had with a manual gearbox for real bragging rights down the road.

Just done 500 miles in mine today and now safely say it is awesome, I would not buy one with a ZF box as they don't involve me enough so glad that this new MY18 model doesn't come in robotic manual as it means great residuals on the MC Shift and Strad models.

I agree with the residual point especially on lower mileage cars. Bear in mind, though, that next to no MC gearbox cars have been sold since 2012 so you have had a rare car for a while already.
