3200/4200 Brake Discs a possible solution...

Hi All

Just ordered a set , have been meaning to do this for a few weeks now and the discount prompted me. The discs should go well with the new Ferodo pads purchased from ebay at £74 for a full set which gives a total of around £400 , not bad eye. As a reminder everyone who purchases the new discs I think others that have purchased them have found that its a good idea to degrease and paint the not PAD contact areas of the discs to stop them from going rusty. A nice heat proof paint to match the hweels would be ideal.

I wasn't snoozing Lee, is was tearing my hair out due to no broadband, so a big kicck up the proverbial to pathetic orange for my broadband dropping out again. I realise that buying ferrari as opposed Maserati is a saving, but it's the principle of having the chance to save a few bob and being prevented from doing so by plonkers who can't maintain a service.

Thanks for the kind words from all.

Yes ive seen the discs and they are vented and drilled, look very tidy indeed.

We have hit 10 pairs already! im sure a lot of the sales were from this forum, and a few sales from our ferrari forums customers also. We only currently have 10 more pairs left, hense why we cant keep the discount at 20%. We are already in contact with Brembo Italy for next stock!

So just to confirm the discount is now 10%, this will stay for anyone who reads these forums. Remember the discount applies to all 3 of our stores.

Thanks

Have I missed out?
Get my car back tomorrow, not seen it since November 10th. For sure it needs at least 2 new disks.

Could be worse Deano

I sourced the ABS pump, arranged the turbo rebuild AND paid both along the way. I just have to work out how much labour was expended sorting it all out, which has been a bit of a saga.

It will all be a distant memory after the first 2 or 3 WOT situations :D

Makes it all worth while.......maybe maserati just don't like their older cars being kept alive by people who can't affort to buy new.............but if no 2nd hand market......who would buy one new?

....sure their business is to sell cars....but not just any old white goods are they Maseratis.......so why not offer better and structured discounts, keep their cars on the road....keep their profile high....a great love for the older end of things Maserati bar the late eighties and mid nineties....;)

I totally agree. I know that some manufacturers offer such as classics and older vehicles, a discount parts service direct from the dealer. This works very well, it ensures that the cars are kept in shape with OE parts, they still make money and the cars are a tribute to them still being seen. It's good marketing, which some manufacturers just do not see, shame really.

The Italians do not understand the 'classic car' concept. They think that everyone should buy new and everyone should get their car serviced by main dealers, God forbid someone keeping one for longer than 3 years. I know this from experience of other markets and having an Italian girlfriend who couldn't understand why people drove in classic cars.
