If buying the white one it would need a very thorough inspection and recommissioning. Black one for sure, but we don’t know how good that is either.

The black one came from Dick Lovett I believe...Maybe a year ago...if not a longer. It was immaculate when they sold it as had a look around it.

Sent a copy of the report to the dealer of the blue GTS (didn't have to), and followed up with a call to let him know my thoughts (again, didn't have to)... he picks up the phone and answers, the line then goes dead for 5 seconds after I introduce myself... he then tells me he'll call me back this afternoon because he was with another client, and of course nothing.

Honestly...

I’ve sold two this summer at £35k, but yes, a bad one needing £10k of spend needs to be low to mid £20k’s. If I were in the market for a QPV GTS at present I’d look at these two:

https://www.pistonheads.com/classif...te-m139-sport-gts----------------2011/8891094

Don’t think I would want the white one either. Imagine it sitting for so long and never been moved! I would have want it to be driven at least 3-4K a year to ensure it was well lubricated and reliable.

I like the black one. Nice low mileage and my kind of spec. Still prefer an alcantara interior though like the other black car. I am too slim and I slide around on the all leather interior as the seats aren’t bucket enough for me.

I with you on the white one but I wouldn't want it as just don't think white suits it. I know the red one us an acquired taste but at 30k that's the one I would go and look at. The red looks better in the flesh. Plus it's being sold by an Aston Martin dealer and they don't usually sell rubbish.

Quick question: what’s the best battery in your opinion for the QPV GTS? I’m going to need he best I can get considering I don’t have an electric socket for trickle charging etc. Thanks!

I have a Bosch S5 019 AGM (the stop start battery) in QPV GTS.

Why stop start? I find it suits my usage style (car sits for a week or so at a time between use), no access to electric socket. Supposedly AGM batteries are designed with the constant on -off demands of stop start in mind but also are good for the secondary benefits mentioned. It sorted all my low battery related problems (various warning messages etc) instantly. Car sat for 3+ weeks this summer whilst I was away and started first time, no problems.

Cannot recommend it highly enough. On the pricer end at £199 or so but worth it in my opinion.

Sorry if this has been been mentioned before, but the QP on the intro is a 4.2GTS with the chicken wire grille and four exhaust pipes. The rest of the film is 4.7 GTS I think. The start up noise is different too. One of the best French films ever and they have a pretty good film history.

We’re off to the Pyrenees on Friday. Not sure how well we will get on with the new speed limits.

When I bought this car, on the way home, I noticed the “s” was missing from the chrome emblem on the dash. After panicking I had been swindled into buying a GT rather than a GTS and then calming down, the OCD part of my nature would like the full chrome emblem, “S” and all on the glovebox. Can anyone point me in the right direction? The garage who sold it seem to be struggling ;)

You can buy the Sport GTS glovebox badge from a maindealer. Easy as that and not expensive. I fitted one to my 4.2 QP GTS (even though these badges were originally only factory fitted to the 4.7 versions).

On a, sort of, related note. Where can I find the recommended service schedule for 2007-2009 QPs? Hopefully this would include the years/mileage for a minor and major service and also any other mandatory items i.e. aux belts every 3 years. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Dicky. Ah, I don't have a QP yet, let alone a handbook. :) Is there somewhere I can download this info from?
