Ok i will have to check my little black book.
After i bought 2 pollen and 2 oil filters from Eurospares and amazed as to how expensive they were in particular the pollens which are'nt even charcoal activated i thought i would cross reference the part numbers with my local factor that i deal with every day.The pollen cross referenced with several branded filter companys and trade less than a tenner i paid nearly £40 and bought 2 to keep one for next time.
The oil filter is a different story made by Purflux for Maserati and only available from dealers the Purflux number will not cross ref.

Hi Guys, I've been buying my Maserati parts (3200 & 4200) from Dick Lovett ( Alan Clark). Found that that on consumables ie air filters, oil fiters etc I'm getting 25-35% off retail. The prices on Eurospares reflect a 12.5% discount off Retail.
Another item of interest is the fuel filter on the 3200. This is a standard Bosch part used on various cars including Jags that I've had....(Part no. on the filter is the Bosch Part No.) Works out to about 30% of the Eurospares price when bought from a Bosch supplier.

3200GT RH Turbo: Manufactured by IHI, OEM p/n 585360000, IHI part numbers VM38R and VA660054, available from several vendors at a fraction of the Maserati price. Verified (by the hard way... don't ask :) )

LH Turbo, OEM p/n 585360100, should be IHI part numbers VM39L and VA660055 (this one not checked...)

Many thanks for this info Javier. OEM seems to come in at about £2.6K! What sort of saving did you manage after your tribulations?

Hi Javier....how are things in the world of Maserati in Spain?

Not wanting to be too ignorant IHI are? Links?

Any other alternative parts discovered by your compatriots?

Thanks and welcome to the forum!

Are you ready for this P..... ISHIKAWAJIMA HARIMA HEAVY INDUSTRIES LTD. Just trips off the tongue....... Wonder why they shortened it? Anyway they seem to make turbo's for pretty much everyone.

IHI is a japanese corporation that makes a lot of things, including turbochargers: http://www.ihi.co.jp/en/index.html I think that they are the original manufacturers for the turbochargers used in the 3200GT

I found it by myself, due to a turbocharger failure that was not suitable for reconditioning... and after checking the Maserati price for a new one, I felt motivated (VERY motivated, I would say) to look for an alternative. I found this http://www.turbolader.net/Turbolader-Katalog/8900-2853/585360000/VM38R.aspx and asked for a reconditioned unit or a new unit price. They quickly quoted me a new unit, available from stock, and I'm very happy with the communication with them.

I also discovered another part. My car had a missing LH reflector at the rear bumper, p/n 46426712 and although not expensive from Eurospares (approx 4 EUR - postage will be more than the double...), when walking through a car salvage yard looking for another part for a different car, I saw the remainings of a Fiat Marea and found that the bumper reflectors looked the same... so I bought both for 1 EUR... and yes, they are the same part :)

Here there are not too much Maserati, I think I've only saw a 4200 near Madrid not too long ago, and I've never met another 3200GT. I've notice from another forum of two other 3200GTs in Spain, but not in Madrid. Sooo... I'm afraid that there would be not too much users in a spanish Maserati forum. Also, used Maserati here are quite more expensive than in UK (well... same for Jaguars :) )
