Well firstly let me say.. I love the input and experience guys, it’s really appreciated.
So there is question over weather it’s a mc or not. So if it’s advertised as not , dealer says it’s not, but actually it is... then that’s a good thing right ?
It doesn’t have MC on the pedals, mean anything?
My opinion is , the shifts are lazy. Although I am used to full sequential race cars so it would take a lot to please me. On reading alone I would be drawn to a shift (actually a Strad, hard and fast sounds like me lol) (with gearboxes , nothing else to clarify lol)

Lazy shifts? Fook off.... something can’t be right to be described as lazy surely? My auto with MC software in sport is rapid between gears, let alone an MC shift (which I still believe it is)....

I think it's a DSG box, no?

:)

I'm with Contigo, it's a Sport MC so best check the clutch wear. More fun gearbox unless you do a lot of city driving. Looks like a decent car although I'd have it inspected to see what might need doing soon and use that as a bargaining tool against the dealership. You'll more than cover the cost of the inspection. If they won't let you get it checked, don't buy it.

I’m also with Contigo, whatever he said!

They advised it will be serviced prior to collectin (due Now) I question or stated it will go to Mas for its service.... um ahhh , ok so I just need to settle the difference of dealer service and them. The next open question is if anything needs doing then it’s main dealer at there cost. (Trying to cover all angles) partially agree although I’d request in hard pen and paper agreement

I’d definitely go for an inspection. A service doesn’t touch the sides of a full inspection.

Also my GT has front parking sensors, I thought they were standard on all GTS’s (other than the Strad for some reason).
And one thing is for certain, the GT needs them!

Noted thanks Geoff. Yeah I agree they certainly do. Conversations to be had with the dealer tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed all falls in place.

Get the price of a clutch factored in £2.5k and then drive it like you stole it.

The reason it felt lazy is you had it in auto mode and you need to press the auto button immediately and then use the paddles to shift manually.

Glad we finally got to the end of that. Phil is correct. Lancaster dont apparently have any idea what they are talking about. OK to be fair, someone's recorded it wrong but clearly robotic manual. And if you were in Auto mode, it'll probably feel lazy. Or the clutch is screwed.....

Got in sport mode fairly early on but the sales man got a bit techy when the rear started moving. Don’t get me wrong when say lazy, I’m used to F3 boxes , it was extremely lazy In Auto. I did notice when we were playing between Auto and sport that it almost appears to go from Auto to manual on its own at some point ( I’m almost certain I stayed away from the paddles as the wife said how does it drive on it’s own ... show me) has this been a problem before or more likely I was just in the moment ?

In all fairness the car felt strangled the whole ride, I really look forward to opening one up and it’s pehaps given me a foggy appeal to the car due to lack of drives in these (this being the first Mas ) (not the first serious car tho) I relish the day I say I’m now a proud owner.... is this the one ...

Drive it like you stole it Lol , I’ve only ever had the pleasure of driving such cars that weren’t my own. I’ve been lucky to have had opportunities to drive what I’ve had but In all fairness when your behind the wheel it makes no odds who’s or what it is... it’s meant to be driven so drive it.

Gentlemen - I think we need to collaborate and open a super Maserati dealership, we seem to be the only people that know anything about Maserati's...

I can't believe a main Maserati dealership and the people selling the car are both unable to distinguish between the ZF auto and the MC Shift

Oliver - when you test drive it again, put it and leave it on sport mode. After a few seconds the screen between the dials will say MC Shift in red, and leave it there and drive it like that. It's anything but lazy.

Good morning guys.
Will do ofenomeno. Despite anything else I forgot to add.. my god they sound beautiful!!
Ok first and last silly question of the day (I almost promise) if it comes up with the red MC shift logo, does it confirm it is an MC Shift and is the red logo meant to stay on all the time whilst in sport mode ?

Press the sport button and the auto button ?
( or does the sport button automatically take it out of auto?)
