Matt will sing a different tune when he has a GS in his possession!

Yeah, its good news for all you GS owners, still, putting them up at inflated prices does not mean they are going to sell at that price. All it means is that anyone looking to sell a GS will look at the current inflated crop and price their car accordingly thus stagnating the market.

I like SOR, as long as you can wait you can get the best price. Plus it's a specialist and they will command the top prices.

Or buyers will start paying the higher prices as they have no alternative? Get yours soon and we can all start a cartel to maintain 'healthy' values!

Standard supply and demand, if the market is small and you are prepared to hold out for longer you can drive a higher price.

Buyers will pay the price if the demand is there or will wait until the seller wants to drop to something they are prepared to pay.

Maserati prices have been low compared to similar priced alternatives for some time maybe this is a sign that the market feels the time is right to start to address this anomaly.

shall I ask for 25k for my AC?
GS prices are going up, you could have bought a GS 2 years ago for these prices...good news for you all

Basically you can get an GS with 35k on the clock or pay £5k more and get a GranTurismo S same sort of age and mileage....puts it into perspective for me.

Agree with the logic Matt, but the difference looks like £15k to me on average. The GS will be older by a 1-2 years.

First one is Cat D.

Second one is about £5k too cheap for a private sale so there must be something scaring the trade on it. Should be a £48-50k at a main dealer FWIW.

Dicky has a GS at £31k and you get the advantage of a warranty and pre-sale check.

Don't get me wrong I understand your direction of travel but I feel the real difference is more than you say. The second car has to be worth a look but it seems too cheap so I would prepare to be disappointed.

IT's all very well talking dow the value of one when you are in the market for one but surely once you own one it's the opposite. GS due to their rarity will become a future classic probably more so than the 3200 or 4200 because they took the classic shape and ironed out all of the issues and that simply made a better car. Even Octane said the one to buy is the GranSport.

Now I am totally confused, it seems that GS prices are similar to 4.2 GT prices give or take. Is the GS a better car than a 4.2 GT?

GTS prices generally seem to be £45k plus, both the above have repaired accident damage.

Comparing a GS with a 4.2 GT is similar to comparing, say, an M3 with a 640i; ie they are both fast cars but very different.

Yep I don't see the comparison too really. I also don't really see a price comparison at the moment like for like.
