Had a nice chat with a chap with a powder blue 4.2 E-type which we'd overtaken on the way to Newby. He'd spotted the Maser and wondered if it was going to the same place... Great back story to him acquiring the car too - always good to hear an enthusiast talking about his pride and joy :)

I know Ben doesn't like the styling, which I'll admit does tend at times towards an explosion in a tacky bodykit factory, but I do rather like this:

The standard of finish is superb - a modern steampunk car.

The engineering in it is exquisite but, IMO, the styling is awful and it's even worse with the roof up and I'm pretty sure we 'out shouted' it in an impromptu 'rev off' as well.

I agree the Spyker is an acquired taste but it looks like nothing else on the road. The interior is superb.
