Right we have some facts and figures guys i'll email each and everyone on the list hoefully by tomorrow , if you dont recieve it feel free to contact me

regards loz

Thanks for the email. Those figures which appear to include VAT seem fine to me.

One question for him. If you take your car for a service and the tech thinks something is "wrong", could the tech then easily reset your ECU back to factory defaults and lose your upgrade?

Can I just remind everyone that, although all concerns need to be addressed to everyone's satisfaction, no reference to price should be posted on the forum.

Thanks, Em.

Simon, DMS will flash free of charge if it gets reset or if there is a problem.
Matt, I have received e-mails from Loz and yourself, so thanks to you both.

Regards

I was more thinking of the inconvenience. I guess when you go to the dealer for your service you tell them to not mess with any settings.

Ideally.......you stick a cover on the connector under the steering wheel ....with an attached note stating not to be connected unless given express permission by the owner!!!!

There are no warranty issues on most of our cars, so just tell your techie that you have a remap. Part of the guarantee, and hence the reason the price will not drop any further, is the commitment to re-write if necessary. Unlikely, but covered if it's needed.

Tridentity, I'll email you.

Should we deal with DMS directly regarding payment and flashing specs?

D

As things stand at the moment, and so as not to confuse matters untill everything is confirmed and sorted date wise , leave things with me , soon as dates and final numbers are confirmed i will then give everyone an identity list number ie no 1 2 or 3 etc , that way if you want to discuss particular re-mapping requirements with DMS it will be far easier for them to identify you , or your ECU

For those just supplying just an ecu be sure to have your VIN number and registration number enclosed with your parcel , im relatively new to this and the info may well be stored on the ECU anyway , this will help and facilitate their Data back up system , they keep lifetime records of the before and after in secure storage

regards loz
