Fuel protests

First time I haven’t used 99Ron in over a year, when I pulled into Tesco in Cirencester and their Momentum was £2.03 per litre last Thursday evening.

Car seems to be running fine without its usual drink but I just couldn’t stomach the increase they slapped onto the pumps.

I can't do anything about the price of oil but Tesco's we can. They are blatantly taking advantage of the current situation and have been found out.
Further to my earlier post, I think to break the cartel like behaviour of the supermarkets, the public should just pick one supermarket to boycott and force competitive behaviour, this causing a chain reaction from the others.

At the moment, Tesco seems to be the most egregious, we should focus on them to start with.

That's my point, Tesco are price fixing
Why they done it I wonder? All them years they've been cheaper than the rest, now when the price of fuel is under scrutiny they decide to jack the price up to more than everyone else. Must be their biggest pr disaster since Shergar Burgers.

Simple, cash in on people's ignorance/assumption that they are the cheapest.

My energy company recently said that i should more than double my direct debit to them so I don't feel a hit, come winter. 50d that I thought, if I'm in debt to them, that's good, I'm not overpaying now and have the money in their account doing nothing for me.

Oh dear, to add to the misery, gas supplies from Norway may be shut off in the next few days…

Oil compnaies and indeed forecourt garages don't help themselves in terms of publicity when they may huge proffits and are quick to raise prices and slow to drop.

US crude is trading around $93 a barrel, down from $120 in early July. Taking in the US-GB forex the £ is up on the $ over the same period so double whammy on reducing prices.
