Right...crude is now the same price as what it was in February...yes I know that some of you are going to say..price filter through blah blah, but BP making huge profits and not dropping prices is taking the mick somewhat.

It's mostly sold at fixed prices, for so many months . So won't necessarily follow the spot price. Yes they make huge profits, but also huge investments. Don't forget these, and others, will be tied to your pension funds. All very tangled and convoluted. I just pay what it is and get on.

On a positive note, my wife noticed unleaded fuel at 1.76 locally so heading in the right direction…..

I still do not understand the increases are enacted immediately, whilst reductions take weeks to be passed on, other than profiteering of course....
My point exactly, and don't hold me to ransom with 'the pension' arguement. I'd be able to put more in if I could afford the frickin fuel...

It's still amazing the spread of prices. Within 15 miles I can find unleaded between 154.9p/l (an independent in Leintwardine) and 178.9p/l (Tesco in Newtown) - 24p a litre spread!
Understandably the former has queues (and seems to be going through a tanker-full every 1-2 days) - you have to check their Facebook page to see whether they have fuel...

Just a quick point, petrol / diesel prices are also effected by refining capacity..
With Russia in Coventry etc there is less global refining capacity....

That may well be true, but ther must still be enough refining capacity else where because I haven't heard of anyone not having enough fuel to be able fill up.
