I have a big sheet (well biggish about 30cm square) which I bought for (I think) number plate attachment.

So there are two large strips cover most of the area of the original foot rest. If it doesn't hold, I won't be *hugely* surprised, as the original rest is ridged. However, this is quite thick, so I reckon there's enough padding to make the adhesion to the entirety of the ridge.

No preceptible movement as yet. Some longish trips (Boston) on cruise with foot on the rest. Spirited driving also. Basically I'm delighted.

Catman iam glad your loving your foot rest ,iam currently doing a GT footrest for lincsOSCA and maybe able to make some more once I have some feed back to see how it fits etc .

My foot rest courtesy of Mav arrived today and it looks great. The shape & dimensions are roughly based on the MC aluminium set as that is the only one where a foot rest is available for a GT. It differs a lot though as the MC set has a series of vertical lines and I wanted mine to match the finish of the throttle and the countersunk holes of the brake pedal and I think that Mav has achieved that very well.

I haven't secured it in place yet, the photo shows it resting on the floor, but when in place it will be raised around 5 mm.
