Thanks for making notes and photographs, it will be very useful for many in years to come.
Are you fitting a standard crimped matrix, or one with fully brazed end caps?
I remember changing the radiator on my Elise that split its crimped end caps, and fitted a fully brazed aluminium one instead.
To change the radiator, you had to remove the whole front end clam shell, didn't want to do that again....or the next owner!

Just replacing it with a standard one .

A little update , was hoping to remove the dash tonight ready to tackle the matrix tomorrow but run in to a bit of a pickle , I have all the dash lose now and all connectors disconnected but couldn't figure out how to get it pass the steering wheel was getting a little frustrated and the light had gone so decided to leave it for tomorrow now . I will have a better look tomorrow in the light but I might just remove the steering wheel and paddles etc but I'll see tomorrow .

Yep the drivers side was wet with coolant so they are out to dry , here's all the bits that came out
