Heater matrix failed

So I have now removed the old matrix and fitted the new , tomorrow the refit begins !!!

Good work, one job I hope I don't have to do.

At least a cheap fix so long as you have the time.

One thing I will say about these cars, is that they do come apart pretty well and getting them back together isn't bad either, provided that you have patience, the correct tool and the know how.

Indeed. Complex yes, but very well built with decent fixings on the whole was my experience. I'm not really messing with the GT much, though

Progress up date , car is now pretty much back together . Seats will go back once the carpet has dried out ,cleaned and Voicey has been to replace the airbag ecu .I need to fill the coolant but that's tomorrow's job along with a couple of bits I want to tidy up .Time for a beer iam knacked !

Great work Mav. I bet it has been a mixed job this one like a few on my hybrid. Great challenge, lots of frustration, blood, sweat, tears and expletives! Ultimately very satisfying in the end though.

I would have tackled the dash out to replace the hybrid's blower unit but I just didn't have a whole weekend to do it. Paid a guy to do it in the end and although a chunk of cash it was not bad value really. Took him 2 days & he charged me 600 quid.

I think I would attempt most jobs if I had the time. Also when the workshop is finished.

Well done Mav and all done on the driveway better natural light for working.

Got my nearly 40 years collection of automotive tools ready for when I rejoin the rat race my motorbike and off road gear in there and lots of Mini parts collected and Jag Daimler stuff and not been here 3 years yet.
