Hi, looking at a 3200gt auto.. year 2000, 108,000 miles.. 2 owners, dark metallic blue, tan leather.. think it has skyhook ..
is this mileage too high ???

trying to get full service history.... when, mileage, who did the work, what was fitted etc

plus more pics of interior as drivers seat looks well worn... though i think it should be possible to renovate the leather ok ...

thanks, mark.

just over 10k ... its in rep of ireland so if it was exported to there originally may be up to another 1k to claim back... im trying to find out as much as i can about it... and compare it to Richards black 3200GT at just under 12k.... it looks spot on......

It's all about the history and condition but the price seems a little high to me. That's not to say it's not a good car but at that mileage regardless of condition, in my opinion the price is on the high side

I'd be seriously wary of buying a 108000 mile car from Ireland, there's nowhere near Cork to inspect it. The VRT refund is 36% of whatever the revenue value it at but you must be an Eire resident to claim it. My 3200's are all gone now but I'd seriously recommend buying a UK car that can be inspected by someone over here. Also, I see you have a Guilietta Multiair Veloce 170 in Bianco, are you looking to sell this for the 3200 purchase? What's it like? I'm looking for one for Mrs Grace.

I agree with Dicky and Dem on this one, £10k seems too high for a car of that mileage, plus there is no such thing as a cheap Maserati. What you save at the beginning, you more that make up with servicing and problems.

Also, and I am not saying this is the case, there has been a history of cars being shipped out to Ireland and back again to the UK to get the insurance marker removed (cat C's and D's).

a few around good old England for around that figure and the history would be better to check on as the garages would be local...ish

sorry Richard but love the Giulietta and its staying with me....... its remapped to around 200bhp and i get 38mpg ... 70k on it now so the Masser would just be a weekend car and maybe sometime a road trip to our place in italy.... casadalloro.com .... but would really recommend a Giulietta 1.4 MA to anyone.... next time round i would have a TCT but just wasnt available when i got mine...

How does that work Matt? If it's a ex UK car in Ireland it can still be hpi'd and it's linked to UK hpi's. Cars that are in Ireland and you know the original plate, can just do a check to see if was a cat car before it left. I've heard of people sending them from Ireland to mainland Europe to lose the cat but not aware of how it could be done when residing in Ireland.

Thanks for the that, probably going for one like yours or possibly a Cloverleaf. My 3200's are sold as I'd said in the last post.

No worries, just didn't want you to think I was only saying it as I had some for sale. I assume Ireland is attractive to you as you're in NI if I have read your plate correctly on your avatar. From my experience, UK cars tend to be maintained to a higher standard when they get older as we have a much bigger network of indies.

They both went for very close to asking price, knew they would as they were both blooming good ones. I had the cheaper car a while, you saw it at Silverstone, but it was a lovely car so had to sell.
