Much less likely in an auto, they're far more common in manuals. Endfloat is an issue which affected cars when they were younger and at lower miles. Generally speaking from the expert's point of view, if it's not happened by 40000 miles, it won't happen at all. I've heard that same thing from 5 or 6 of the most knowledgeable 3200 mechanics out there (I don't profess to being an engine expert whatsoever).I didn't think Auto's had anywhere near the same end float issues as the manual's..??
