For those who don't know me my name is Nikos Kassimatis and I am the owner of Kassimatis Cycling. Our company is counting 70 years in the cycling business in Greece (from my grandfather) and we only give attention to the best quality of cycling products to distribute and sell across the country but also to the neighbor Cyprus, Malta and Bulgaria.
Two of the most important brands that we work with have lately been connected to our beloved Italian car manufacturer! It is Castelli (cycling apparel) and LOOK (French hand build bicycle producer).

3 days ago I was announced from LOOK that they will produce in very limited qty (one and only production cycle) their very well-known and reputed 695 Aerolight bike for Maserati and also to memorize a cycling event that will be held for fun but mainly charity!

It took me 2 days to get approval from both LOOK and SM and here I am with the proposal attached for veeery short time of ordering!
Let's see things one by one:
  • The Special Pricing Deal for the Sports Maserati forum members is -15% of the official Market Suggested Retail price.
  • The price announced includes Greek VAT 23%. If you wish to receive it under a company Invoice you will gain the VAT.
  • We have the option of ordering either full bike or just frameset.
  • In case of a full bike you can choose also the UK brake option.
  • The order will be due on May 8th and will be no further production of this certain bike.
  • To make it easier for the members our company will arrange a total batch of the bikes and frames from Greece to UK without freight charge. You will only need to find the way and collect your bike from the forwarding agent's warehouse as long as this arrives there.
  • The bikes and/or frames are coming in Factory well protected carton boxes and you will need also to arrange the assembling to your closest high end cycling store.
  • The ordering procedure gets confirmed once the member has sent 50% deposit through bank transfer to our company's account.
  • Deposit is not refundable and full payment will be arranged once bikes arrive from factory to Kassimatis Cycling warehouse.

You can any time check for our company's status and originality using our IVA #EL095072933
I will be very happy to answer any questions you may have here or via pm.

The list starts with my name (even if this has a "competitor's" brand.. :) ) and the code of the frameset I have chosen:
  1. Specialized : 12526

Lovely but i have a Pinarello which is already far better than I am. I've a ride for charity in France coming up at the end of the summer so i've been getting familiar with it again after a year of excuses !

Did the last big ride on an £800 Giant sport hybrid and learned not to do that again !

I have long legs so run a 25" frame with the saddle and bars up... Still didn't stop 4 of my bikes getting nicked over the years; must have been lanky thieves :D

I maybe should get myself another machine to build my knees up and general fitness I just know I'd look stupid on a bike the size I am! I wouldn't entertain the Lycra look either I'd look like an Orca on a bike!

I used to tour as a youth before I fell off the rails...

What about a mountain bike and ride some trails? Or an indoor stationary trainer with road bike to start and then ditch the trainer wh you're ready to don the lycra?

Good luck with the sales Nikos, it looks beautiful.

I'd better not be tempted. I know the recognised number for bikes is N+1 but I really really shouldn't add another to my garage.

Thank you Trident. I shouldn't too since I already have a great S-Works, but this is gonna be my unique one that I am not going to sell and I already feel so proud for this...

I do have long legs Bob but actually prefer a smaller frame, compact road style. The Pinarello is a 51.5 although they do size differently so it's a 53 in "normal" sizes. The tyres in the photo are 23 Schwalbe Durano but actually I changed to 25 Continental GPIII. The 25's are definitely faster and more grippy. I didn't realise how worn the contact surface on the old tyres was until I put new ones on !!

I have a very good friend in Italy who is an ex-pro. He has a high end bike shop and deals Pinarello, Colnago and Specialized to the pro and semi-pro teams for the factories. They trade the bikes in after a year or so and my friend moves them on. Basically, I can can get the most amazing stuff 2nd hand but always from a top team hence full time looked after etc. They won't sell anything that's been crashed etc so I got my Pinarello from the,. It's a 2013 running full Ultegra, Time pedals, Fulcrum wheels etc with a spec around £4k. I paid £1250 in mint condition which I think you'll agree is cheap.

I've helped a few friends get bikes from them and actually we have two coming this week.

1) Pinarello Dogma with full Campagnolo Super Record etc. £8k spec, coming in at £3300 delivered from Italy

2) Colnago 50th Anniversary. This a rare retro styled bike that was around £5k here. We've got it for £2k and I understand that these bikes go for $10k on USA Ebay ! It's one for the collector.

I've seem ex-team Sky stuff appear and one of the boys has one from 2011 ex-Lopez.

Anyway, if anyone fancies a bike north of £1k, let me know and i'll see what I can get. It's pot luck and if you're patient, something will appear.

Cheers

Send me a PM with what you'd like and you're budget and i'll ask for you.

No worries.

We got a Pinarello Razha K built for someone a couple of months ago. These are sold by Pinarello for £2k retail but it's a £1650 frame which shows you for **** the components on a retail version are. We built one with Campagnolo Athena, Most seatpost/stem/bars, Selle Italia team saddle and Fulcrum wheels for £2k brand new. So that's another way to go.

Here's the Razha and one of the Dogma (pre clean and service) that arrives this week.
