V8's if looked after will accomodate high mileage, depreciation will be the issue eventually..!!

I would rather drive mine than worry about mileage. It might not help the depreciation but so be it, what is the point having a Maserati if you don't use it.

I totally agree, a few European trips will bump the miles up a bit though and the roads are better..!!

Two weeks in and it just gets better and better. I've still not put any CDs in and the windows remain in the down position 90% of the time.

The positive attention it gets far outweighs what I thought was a lot of attention I got in my older and far rarer RS4.
Smiles, waves and just this Sunday the cashier in the petrol station had me waffling on for a good long while as she asked question after question.
I also keep gazing out the window at home at it, gorgeous. My initial wobble has subsided completely. phew!

I'm starting to get my to know my local petrol station staff pretty well. One commented, after another £100+ fill up, that I was spending more cash there than any other customer. That's addiction for you...

I've now done 1000 miles in it and it's still making me smile, It's also happy days for the petrol station where I seem to spend a lot of my time

What I'm struggling to understand is why I'd not thought of this years ago. It suits me so well and I'm enjoying it so much I'd have thought it would have popped on the the car buying radar way before now.

So, progress report -
1 - Complete Alpine speaker upgrade set bought, I just need to allocate some time to fit them in.
2 - It's booked in at Emblem for a Saturday clinic appointment in September. Excellent service and communication so far and great recommendations from other members. I'm looking forward to meeting them.
3 - The front tyres are worn on the outside edge so I suspect I'll just go for a complete set of 4 to get them all ready for winter (looking forward to that.......not).
4 - I'd like to source a spare wheel, if such a thing exists. I'm sure there's some solution, rather than the can of goop. I may only use it for longer journeys but I'd like one all the same.
5 - I've still not completed my usual 'new car clean out', where I do a good deep clean and make everything as I'd want it. The leather will be cleansed and re-fed with Gliptone conditioner. I'll also go over all the bodywork but while we've got the builders in that's pointless, there's so much dust and crud everywhere.

Here's to the next 1000 miles :as002:

Point 3: I'd suggest getting a full geometry set up as well

Point 4: Originals are muy expensive. There is an alternative from Mercedes I *think*, plenty threads on here.

Autoshield sorted mine as the fronts were badly worn on the inside, perfect now :)

I'm presuming the geometry set up is something Emblem can do? I read about shims somewhere. I'll speak the them when I'm there next month.
