It's love that explains the ride height. If you had Pirellis, the gap would be wider because the car would be trying to get away from the tires.
I do like the silky sidewalls of this tyre, they look AND feel the part :)

I have P Zero's on my Jag and no complaints about those. The Corsa's on the Alfa I had prior on the other hand.......

Finally got round to swapping out the Pagid Pads today, they have been super squeaky.

They are Pagid RS44 which is I think a club racing pad. Shame as they are next to new with less than 1000 miles on them. Might be of use to someone?

No backing material, unlike the Brembos that I have put on, also with some copper slip smeared on.

On another note, I think my car is subtly lowered. Ride heights are 67cm front and 65.5cm rear when measuring from the lip of the arch to the floor.

Are there any comparative stats for what is standard??

I finally remembered to take a measure to the garage today to check mine; 65.5cm rear and 66cm front on mine

Beautiful car great pictures, especially at SPA

Not sure if I missed it in the thread, but if you still have the GT style grill after removing it, and are interested in selling it I would love to try it on my 4200

That’s strange all the specs I’ve seen are higher at the rear. 175mm r 155mm f (measured from the suspension to floor) mine is 66.5cm front 67.5cm rear at wheel arch

MOT day today.

3E7543E7-A68B-4362-BCD2-5E83B6C2A578.jpeg

Pleased to say all good with only an advisory for “Minor Corrosion on all road springs”

The powder coat on the first two or three coils at the bottom of each spring is flaking off.

I’m not going to sweat it for now at to me it does seem quite minor.

I think most GS have this now? Others cars I looked at were mostly worse with the whole spring coat pealing.

Maybe something to change at a later date if the suspension has to come out.

On another notice, disappointed that I still have some brake squeal, nothing like as bad as before.

Still have the Pagid racing pads in the back, hard to tell if it is them squeaking….

I thought most brake squeal was usually from the front??

A friend of mine recommended trying this instead of copper slip, anyone used it?

On another note, still amazed at the cornering confidence that I have in this car. I think the S4S tyres must play their part in that. There is a little bit of squirm/roll when you’re really on it but otherwise wow what a lovely setup. Chuck it in with confidence!

Must have blown the diff on almost every car I’ve ever had then :)

Most of them probably didn't have an LSD *and* the MOT stations should be aware when they look at the specs of the car

It is the perceived wisdom of the majority of people on here, ask the question and you will see I am not alone.

Indeed it is. Although I've never told anyone either.

I guess my point is that I have used the same MOT centre for years and never had any issue and I trust them. It's not something I specifically ask for. And that includes many other LSD equipped cars. Every RWD car I've had bar my yank tank Plymouth had an LSD or electronically activated clutch pack type diff.

The Plymouth was most disappointing when you tried to do a burn out and ended up with a one tyre fire!

4WD cars like my urquattro I did ask/MOT always noted. A novelty on that was that I could lock both the centre and rear diff manually using a vacuum switch. Not to be mucked about with unless you are on a loose surface or stuck really.

Will the past owner of my car and others specifically have asked the MOT tester either, I doubt it.

As an ex UK MOT tester I always used the Talley meter on anything tasty takes no time at all and you can do it easily.
At the end of the day it's a minimum standard test valid really only at the time of the test.
