Thank you all for your comments , those that know me will realise the condition & history coupled with a ramp inspection upon purchase, mean it is genuine , unmolsted example .

A great car for someone ..

I'm defecting to Jaguar for a bit (F-Pace ) but will check in now & again.

Dave
If anyone has anyone whom may genuinely be interested let me know .
Regards

Dave, will be interested in your thought on the F Pace ... For me one of the best looking 4x4 you can buy.

What's ur thoughts on price ?
I felt the mileage may be a factor ?

You're probably right about mileage being a factor but a very late Sport GT with the duoselect box, good provenance and full history is probably the last QP made before they went 'user friendly'. We shall see. Good luck with the sale and agree on the F Pace, cracking motor and very good looking. Ironic that Ian Callum was a great fan of the QP V shape resulting in Jag looking beefy and purposeful whereas the Levante is underpowered and looks like a Lexus on steroids.

The rep at work has just taken delivery of a F Pace , previous cars were a BMW X3 and an Evoque

He said the jag is a drivers car not a shopping trolley , he's had it a month and loves it

Yes I have heard that from another owner. He has the S model and had a RR Sport before and prefers the F Pace.

Is this the car that won an award at MITCAR a few years ago? If so, it's a real stunner and a good buy for someone
Good luck with the sale

It is; I sold my facelift 2009MY 58 plate a few week ago for just over £17k, that had 92k miles on and it took me almost two months to sell! The next cheapest facelift to mine was £24k but that had half the mileage. Mine was also virtually mint, fully documented history with four virtually brand new Bridgestones on and it had £4500 spent on it barely a few month ago.

Others on here may want to blow smoke up your jacksie by telling you they're going up in value (!!) etc but having studied the actual values of these as both a buyer AND seller and experience of selling a QP very recently that, bar the mileage, should have been an easy sale, was not because the market for the QP with genuine buyers is tiny.

I'd see it around the £12,500 - £13,000 mark and if anyone on here tells you that's too cheap tell them to buy it!

I second this with my GT S taking around the same length of time to shift. Over 30 calls etc and only 1 chap prepared to travel from England to NI. The market is tiny as the brand, while appealing in its pricing, puts the fear of God into people.

I personally believe the OPs QP should be priced around 13k, as I know of good 'dealer' examples listing at 14k with less mileage. At the end of the day, how much do you need the cash, I was personally willing to let mine go at 2-3k less dealer prices just as it was beginning to look like a saga. Beyond this, I would advise the OP to enquire into a trade price with an MD and from there make his mind up on how to position the car.

Inchcape offered me 6k for my 4200 against a 25k QP GTS , which I took as a polite **** off

F Pace looks utterly bland unless you specify it with the biggest wheels which then ruin the ride. I bought an S and gave it back within 24 hours as its media system went into meltdown which Jaguar couldn't fix. I was actually quite glad, as in the few hours I had it I knew that I would find the ride quality unacceptable for a daily driver.

The Levante is a better looking and driving car. Even with 21s, the air suspension means the ride has a quality and composure the F Pace can only dream of. And as for the comparison to a Lexus.........someone needs to see an optician

Hi guys. I've been watching this thread and getting progressively depressed.

I've no doubt that those with experience of selling are genuine in their facts about sale prices achieved. My concern is that I'm constantly surprised how quick the community is to talk down the value of their cars.

We'd all agree that this is a challenging marque in many ways, but from my own experience in a late 2007 QP Sport GT, and having spent around £15K in the last 3 years of ownership in getting this car perfect, it remains one of the most sublime driving experiences I've ever had in a performance car.

The Pininfarina styling turns heads every day, exhaust sound (well, you know), the perfect balance of the ZF box/ engine position makes road holding on a par with my 3.4 Boxster S, the speed is exhilarating and the engine pulls like the worlds smoothest train, all wrapped up in a genuine 4 door that will transport the family in style. Can I respectfully suggest that you start filling the forum comments with questions such as 'why aren't these cars double the current price?, rather than 'I predict £10K for that very shortly' (unhelpful).

Any sensible potential buyer will visit this forum and will take their value lead from our comments. It feels to me like a 4- door Ferrari that should have a value far higher than we're giving it credit for on these forums. - Just sayin' like.

The GT Sport is a great version of the QP and can easily command high teens, or maybe even 20k from a specialist dealer with low mileage. But high mileage examples of any QP can struggle. These cars are very mileage sensitive.

A year or so back I sold my standard 2005 QP privately (to Phil) for £15k, but the mileage was a reasonable 50k or so. He sold it on 6 months later for roughly the same price. If anyone thinks they can buy a good (i.e. properly up together with full history, recent tyres, brakes, clutch and service) QP V for around £10k, let alone a rare sport GT variant, they are mistaken. Good early cars, with reasonable mileage, are mid teens. GT Sport versions more.

As far as we can tell, the advertised car is in great nick. But the mileage lowers the value a little. Which brings it back to where the owner has pitched it. I think it's advertised at the right price.

But put it another way. What else can you buy for £15k (approx) that offers the same blend of pace, grace, style and exclusivity? In these terms, it's a bargain.

Cheers Ewan, great reply and nice to read some positive considered comments about a truly belting motor.

Agreed. I sold my black one in July '15 for 19.5k (asked for 20k), with 47k miles and due for a service in Nov '15. Took 3 days to sell - I was amazed. But I am only 1 hour from London (where the buyer came from) and the mileage was quite low. Plus I pitched the price to make it the most attractive car available of its age/mileage. That's the key to selling - look at what else is on the market from the buyer's perspective.

Of course I ended up regretting selling, so I bought another. It has much lower mileage and was a bit cheaper, but was coming up for a clutch change when I bought it. Maintenance is so costly on these cars that a buyer should consider paying +/- £3k compared to the "going rate" for age and mileage, depending on what's due. However, I think convincing a buyer to pay top money for a car with a fresh clutch, disks and no major work due, or likely, would be an uphill struggle for a private seller or even a non-specialist dealer.

I think £15k looks about right as an asking price given a location not far from London, desirable colours, etc.

Talking them up in value will do diddley squat; I'm afraid to say that it's buyers who dictate the market, not sellers. Stuart's GT on here looked an absolute belter and a relative bargain but for all the people blowing smoke up his jacksie not one of them would buy it. Don't listen to the owners you've got to listen to the potential buyers...

Great cars though, loved mine and would definitely own one again, but the potential market for said buyers is tiny although you do get the odd anomaly of a blindingly quick lucky from time to time.
