Interesting. Blackburn doesn't exactly strike me as the heart of core Maserati ownership.

Harsh BennyD although I have no allegiance to Blackburn!
The one in Manchester moved to near Handforth near Wilmslow a few years back.

Blackburn is the back passage of humanity. Always has been and always will be.

The group of companies I work for has a stockholder in the centre of Blackburn.
It's not good, even the MD who is from Blackburn admits its bad.
He has just fitted his car with driving camera's due to the very low standard of drivers in the area crashing into his car/cutting him up etc.
His premises have been broken into on a frequent basis too, for he is a stainless steel stockholder.

That has to be good news for Maserati in terms of growing sales, but I really do have to question "full after-sales facilities"

I'm looking forward to how they will suddenly switch on an understanding of the foibles of the older models. Perhaps "full after-sales facilities for the three new models being offered for sale" would be more accurate?

Three models? I assume they're referring to the new QP, the Ghastli and the GT, but with all the variants presumably?

Having grown up just six miles from the place I cant think of any reason why a dealership would open here until you consider that is the furthest north until you hit Newcastle or Scotland or cross the pennines into Yorkshire.
There is a lot of money in Cumbria, Preston, and the NW and many prefer not to go to Manchester.
And at least I now have a reason to visit my Mum!

I wonder how many units each dealer will be required to shift in 2014? 20 Coupes/Cabs, 20 QPs and 100 Ghiblis?

Evening Guys.........wanted to say hello from your new Maserati Dealership........

http://www.bowkermotorgroup.co.uk/maserati/

Just to clarify a few points guys...........the dealership is in Osbaldestone, located in the Ribble Valley, with some amazing driving roads and outstanding scenery.
Ok so I admit it is Blackburn postcode :)

Whilst we will never state we are specialist in every Maserati, we have and will continue to learn and service all of our customer needs. (we are currently servicing and repairing the electrical system on a stunning Ferrari Dino, which is part of a collection belonging to one of our regular customers).

As many of you will now be aware the dealership in manchester is no longer representing the Maserati brand.

Hope we can be of assistance to some of you in the future.

Hi Bowker Maserati, Welcome to the forum but expect it to be a little like putting your head in a lions mouth; hang in there. They are a friendly bunch on here but also commonly seek value for money. I hope you can work with us to help bust some of the part numbers that are tied up in stupid arrangements with suppliers. We all appreciate a need to pay something of a premium for the brand but when we know it is a ferrari brake disk for example it irks to be charged four times the price for the same part... Your mission should you choose to accept would be the 4400 CambioCorsa valeo clutch, we know it is valeo and it must be off the shelf... PM's are acceptable means of dissemination :excellent:

To explain my initial appraisal, I should point out I originally came from Burnley! Osbaldeston is, if there is such a thing, one of the better parts of the back passage of humanity. However, with that out of the way I welcome you to our small corner of motoring nirvana. Here's hoping our association will prove to be mutually beneficial.

Welcome to the forum Bowker Motors, here's hoping you can potentially assist with decent priced spares when required, not the vastly inflated Maserati prices we are sometimes forced to pay..!!

Went to school in Blackburn, one of the most depressing towns in the North West and in fact the UK!

I'm from that area too but live in the sarf now. Clitheroe, Whalley and Read are all places I've lived.

Hmmm, you must have missed the pleasure of visiting Chorley then...hated it, left and never went back except once for a wedding. The place had actually managed to go downhill.

I think these guys are nearer to Accrington, where from memory they don't drink much milk.
