I almost bought the convertible F-Type to replace my GTS but thought it a tad expensive. I decided on the Cayman which is great, but I couldn't resist the coupe so I've put a deposit down on one today. The first cars are expected in the first quarter of 2014, no idea when I'll get one.

You lucky, lucky person...Look forward to hearing how things go and seeing pictures once you get hold of her....V6 or V8

What price are they coming out at?

They are £7k cheaper than the convertible , so around £60k for the V6S, the V6 is £51K and V8R is £85.I'll probably go for the V6S, you don't need to add a great deal as they come with Auto, Sat nav, DAB, Bluetooth, cruise, full leather, Xenon's , sports exhaust and variable suspension.I'm struggling with the colour, I like it in white but my Cayman is white, I may stick with white plus a pano roof for contrast, plenty time to make up my mind.

I test drove the V6S convertible and it's easily fast and noisy enough for me so I'll probably stick with that model. The coupe V8 is the R model so more powerful again than the V8 convertible, I'd imagine its very very rapid but I'll be happy with the V6S.£85k is a bit rich for me anyway, especially for a weekend car.

I must go in to our local showroom and have a look, they are always after me to get another Jag, so the discount could be massive..!!:thumb1:

The Coupe would appeal to me if I only needed two seats. Proper boot so you could tour Europe in it. Convertible is just a weekend away toy.

Hehehe....they do have a tiny boot....addressed with the Coupe.

Delighted for you that you are getting one of these beautiful machines. I can't wait to see photos of your car. :)

I'm seriously considering buying a car on finance for the very first time. Just because I really need one of these cars in my life. My head say 'no'. But, I've sold my Hawk and so there's a good down payment just sitting there in the bank 'doing nothing'.........................

Don't think I'd be able to finesse The Boss, though.

They are a stunning looking car, much more attractive than a Cayman.

Would not buy a cayman with all these new cars....

Porsche does not understand that as roads get busier, driving dynamics become less important and the whole package is more relevant - design and imagine are more important and the F Type kills the Cayman/Boxster in that regard.
