You can't get a reading on manual clutch wear. Would Emblem go to Cambridge to collect?? I doubt it and they're booked up 2 months in advance.

Emblem would send a truck to collect a car from Cambridge but at your expense, I doubt it would be cost effective there are more local specialists that can help.

Google "superior cars Cardiff" and a thread from the old Maserati Forum comes up. Doesn't sound like the dealer covered himself in glory that time...

I enquired at booking in at Emblem as my parents live near there...for a few smallish jobs. They said no problem sir, we can fit you in July 25th!

Is it normal to have to book so far ahead?

From one Newbie to another.....welcome. Sorry to promote and I promise that it won't happen often but just wanted to say that West Dorset is not that far from us in Exeter and as we're a relatively new specialist (but with 15 years experience) we definitely aren't booked up until July......just to Friday actually

Also have a customer who is just about to sell his 3200 which we are storing here for him so if you fancy a look let me know.

Hi FTECH, yes I had noted your existence, will possibly be availing myself of your services in the future. Will only consider a 3200 if its a manual, and even then very wary due to endfloat issues. I`m sure that once people know that you offer a first class service at a VERY reasonable price, you`ll be very busy!

And the auto was the more popular version of the 3200, let alone the 4200 where manual is particularly rare. When starting out I'd recommend looking at all possible local options within budget, if nothing else, just to get a feel for the cars and what you get for the money. When you then stumble across the manual of your dreams, at least you'll know it is the right one.

The car FTech have is an auto and I test drove it recently. I was impressed. I'd not driven a 3200 for a long time and even though I wasn't really "in the market" for one, I ended up making an offer and agreeing to buy it. It was only because an MC Victory popped up a few days later that the deal on the 3200 was cancelled.

Having met Dan I'd certainly recommend that Maserati owners local to Exeter stop by to see what he offers.

I really don't think I could forgive myself if I bought a full auto, I am the sort of person who likes to be in total control (I hate things like auto lights and wipers) and I much prefer to make my own decision as to what gear to be in.
