The whole lot of 'em have no credibility for me
EJ just wanted a job when Beeb lost F1. CE is an idiot (not in a good way)
MLB - Jury is still out.
I watched he East Coast Road Trip on Dave the other day (again) where one of them appears on US TV. It was funny, informative, well presented and a pleasure to watch. Ferrari, Porsche and Merc
Yes sure they have done some rough ones but on balance - a sad loss

I don't really like it, and judging by the viewing figures of last night, a lot didn't bother giving it another go

It was much better than the first week. I think that's mainly because most was a pre-recorded trip where the editors can cut out the dross and have them do several takes etc. They should have asked Sharleen about her cars too, she lives round the corner from me and has a G500 AMG. Very nice indeed.

Around the corner from you...lucky man....can you introduce me......

Well tonights was a lot better, Chris seems to be taking more of a back role with MLB doing most of the links and studio stuff. The rallycross thing still takes to long but the rest was pretty good. Both Chris Harris (F12 TDF) and Rory Reid (Focus ST) did good pieces with the right balance of entertainment and information.

ExtraGear on iPlayer worth a watch.
Basically Rory and Chris Harris doing their own TopGear for half an hour with another guest to the show.

I'm enjoying it to be honest, think MLB is excellent.
Pity the first episode was so **** in comparison to the last two, that will have drove viewers away.

Starting to think that 'The Grand Tour' will have to be something special.

Definitely better , the Ken block segment was very good , really surprised they got permission to drive round London like that but I see they did edit out the controversial doughnuts near the cenotaph

Yep for once an episode about cars and learning something, the Harris TDF bit was excellent and his driving was top notch. Hot hatch Rory piece was quality too. Block was same old stuff

Episode 3 and for me another good step in the right direction. Chris Evans had suggested it would be evolution rather than revolution and that they wanted to build on each episode and it seems he and the team are delivering.

The truth is that those determined not to like either the show or Evans are unlikely to ever be won over and that's their choice and I think their loss. I never hated the first few episodes like some as they were pretty much what I expected as a starting point given the constraints that I was fully expecting to be imposed but am glad that this show is already showing some good signs for the future and could really raise the bar!

There are pobably still plenty of things I would like to see changed or added etc but have no doubt that they will differ to what others would like.

Hope the next episode goes the same way, roll on next week.

Not seen this weeks extra gear yet.

Saw the first 20 mins before I had to go out and that was good - car reviews with a bit extra thrown in (Laguna Seca, the old and new TdF). I am a Chris Harris fan - he's an opinionated petrolhead who really knows his stuff. Good in the car and will get more comfortable in the studio I'm sure.

People would judge it to be a failure, but I think a lower budget, lower ratings show that focused on the cars and a bit less on 'entertainment' might fight a loyal audience.

Harris could run the show single handedly!

This guy is a true talent and I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more from him.

Just watched episode 3 of "new top gear" and it was another step in the right direction. Chris Harris in the Ferrari was great, the interviews with the celebs were amusing and although i know Ken Block is somewhat of an acquired tasted i thought him and Matt storming around London were brilliant. Certainly don't think there show is in decline based on that, merely finding its feet and starting to see what works.
