The stability of the price, and the value to be gained is partly what's attracting me... I figure I won't lose too much in devaluation... with any luck!

Ian,
A lot of the earlier models have gone now and the later models where better, so prices will become stable and maybe increase due to rarity. Good cars will be at a slight premium, but well worth the money to pay for a cared for motor..!!

Thank you guys for recommending my car to Ian, I am really grateful and feel sooooo guilty in letting it go as I really do love it and enjoy meeting you every now and again. So for now I have removed the advert from piston heads. I am happy for Ian to still look at it.

Anyway it looks like I may still be around for a while as I am considering a 4 door Maserati instead, actually I would love a Maserati SUV but that is not out yet (and is why I own the domain name MaseratiSUV.co.uk which I hope to use in the near future!!!) but a 4 door should make it easier to put our new baby in and have more space in the boot for the pram etc....

No idea guys......way too young to be firming up....come back in 15 yrs

P

Don't understand that comment. If you compare to where they were 2 years ago when they were averaging about 8k and some were as low as 6 then I'd say that they are going in the opposite direction. Give it 5 years and the average will be 15-18 for even a leggy one imo.

Disagree. ..those advertised are in the main not selling...only the best of the best will go up in value and good ones may remain static.

3200's will still sell, but for the moment there are a few dogs out there that drag the model down and keep the prices quite low for the car. Eventually the prices will start to firm up for the good cars that are left and the real gems will be able to command decent money as they become rarer..!!

Rob I agree no matter the car if its a shite supercar is still that...shite. it will continue to fall in value until it reaches a parts price...just take a look on eurospares where there are runners being broken for parts...however if its a good car it will plateau and may eventualy go up eventually in line with inflation and demand...however only the very best will increase in real value and even then this may not be enough to offset the coat of maintaining them in tip top condition.
I hope im wrong but you only have to follow the rules of supply and demand to see this is the case.

3200 are getting hard to sell I would imagine....probably down to the age of then now, the reputation given out by the press on reliability whether true or not....running costs put most off not matter how cheap they are.

I'm going on a two hour drive on Sunday morning to view a 3200, anyone fancy jumping in and helping me judge whether the car is a good buy? If you are, I can fill you in on the details if you PM me, obviously lunch would be on me.
