Wait until you see mine, it looks fantastic , some reassembly to do over the weekend

Im looking forward to seeing the reveal, Darren. The teaser pics look great - good to see this car being saved and having some love and attention lavished on it.

I left about 6pm , tomtom traffic worked out a traffic avoidance route to the M3 which involved some dubious roads but I drew the line at a take the next left, you can **** right off , they'd just done that million stones a square metre road surfacing when 500,000 are loose on the top

Typical Maserati problem too , got on the motorway and noticed none of the heater controls were working , 22 deg no fan, up or down speed , nothing, drove 4 hours home , stopped for fuel, got back in any it's fine now, must have been a low battery

That looks fantastic. I know where mine is going for paintwork!

I'd ring tomorrow to book your car in, when I put these pictures up phil's phone will be white hot, It's filthy now though, chucked it down all the way home

It'll do that sometimes. Normally throws an 'E' in the display as well. Make sure you let all the lights go off before you start it, but don't wait *too* long.

It kept changing between E and the outside temprerature

While you're here :D the windscreen fitter left a cable dangling , it's on the passenger side coming from the top corner, looks like a cat5 type of cable, is it something to do with the parrot

Apart from the respray which was optional it's not cost me a penny so far , done about 2500 miles, no CEL lights , breakdowns or leaks so I don't see why you're making the constant digs about it

Phil has an inferiority complex - he's the forum's 3200 champion and drives a MX5 out of choice!!

So that E / temp thing I've always regarded that the HVAC needed a reboot. I found best results by turning the key, waiting for all the lights to go off, then immediately starting. That seemed to get everything up properly. Anything else seemed to have things being 'odd' at times. I'm pretty sure there's nothing sinister. It used to do it about once every two months or so....

As for the cat 5 type plug, nope. All the Parrot stuff is driver's side. That sounds like it might be for one of the volumetric sensors for the alarm....

For the "E"/ temp thing going on, assuming you've checked the common issues of external temp sensor failure and the notoriously dodgy plug on the fan motor (under the glove box), I'd check the multi plug pins on the drivers door/pillar. I had similar symptoms that were caused by a loose pin in the plug.
