great photo shot and great finish

Hi Enzo

What polishes and waxes do you use? I machine polished mine last year with a my Meguiars G220, and as you say it takes many hours of hard work, but definitely worth while ;-)

The finish looks superb on yours! Have you managed to keep the paintwork swirl free?

Simon

hi simon i mainly use a rotary with various compunds but do use the DA for fragile work, if i remember i went round the car about 3 times machine polishing, each time i reduced the cutting pad.

yes kept swirl free, on the wax side i use Zymol, Swissvax and GTechniq

Well to be honest we did have a little bit of fun with some others, just always on the look out for the boys in Blue

I had a play with a dark 3200 and thought your car looked familiar. We went through a tunnel and I gave it the berries and it was great watching all the french drivers winding up their windows. Entente-f*cking-cordial!

Hi Enzo - I'm not brave enough to use a rotary so I spend more time with the DA instead - good for building up the muscles...

I used 2 grades of cutting pads/polishes to refine the finish. And used Collinite and Swissvax waxes. How do you rate Swissvax, Zymol and GTechniq against each other, in terms of application/removal and the finish they leave?

Swissvax for the wheels - no contest
Zymol for the body - wet look finish is awesome
GTechniq for body - if you want dirt / water to just fall off but lot less of a wet look - drying is so easy - no swirls :)

I think this could keep going on so didn't want to hi-jack this thread - PM sent with rest of info

Enzo,
When I'm looking to change I will give you the nod mate....but not yet..!! I have to start on body and wheel prep soon, I currently use Autoglym Wax and Hi Def Wax, but I am also looking at Swissvax as an option for the future..!!
Cheers

worth ago :) was trying to get rid of my rims - too bling for me

Swissvax for the wheels, Zymol for the bodywork - you will see a difference switching from Autoglym

Enzo, just get them re-finished in the colour of your choice; gunmetal or mercury looks good with black.

It really is gorgeous, agreed.

Also agree re Swissvax for the wheels. Not cheap and a bit of a fiddle to apply but really good. Anyone know roughly how long it lasts, by the way?

The Tridents will be staying on until after the Modena trip, possibly longer but the stripes will be staying.
