Ok. So, to get an answer to an old question. What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?

Would the measured velocity be moments after the swallow has unladen itself over my car?

European and completely unladen. Quite probably after depositing on your car.

How many types of european swallow are there ? Just to confuse the question

Very rough guess assuming its alive and not in free fall. No head or tail wind to contend with i would guess around 20mph at cruising speed.

I could well be miles (per hour) out.

We are talking level flight, and for the purposes of the question all European Swallows are similar enough to give a 1 mph bracket either way. As I'm giving a long answer we can assume that you aren't in the range.

Watching them recently they were rather quick, I'll say 50mph.
