So even you can bypass the security of a Defender?

It's Chinese, I doubt there's much defending going on, though I'd think anyone trying to steal it via the obd would have a bit of a WTF moment so it might've put them off.

Thankfully the only cars that've been targeted around here are all over 50k so my little abarth seems safe

All I'm doing is upsetting van drivers at the lights when they look down expecting to see a 22 year old girl and they've got me to look at

I'm going to look at another Range Rover this afternoon, 2011 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography

Cat N but stupid cheap

This is the damage, there's something wrong with the world when a car that cost over 80k in 2011 gets written off for this

it's all the admin and then loan vehicles etc etc that bumps final figure up and not just the actual repair itself, it's more cost effective and far less hassle for insurer to write it off especially on older vehicles like that

We've had Audi S5's and a Merc AMG that all had warnings from the local police forces, both letter and a knock on the door from the local policing team, telling us that gangs had been targeting the cars locally. Interestingly we had Trackers mandated by the insurance companies but when I fitted a GHOST to the cars they weren't bothered at all and certainly didn't alter the premiums down. So it's been going on for a while with different manufacturers at different times.

Are you the one that crashed into it?
No
The guy selling me the car had already sold me everything needed to fix it in a separate sale which is why I initially went up there

At the time I didn't know the car was for sale so wasn't aware these parts were for that car

, it's stood for 6 months, put a new battery on it this afternoon and it fired straight up, it's completely different to my 2006 car much more modern looking, digital dash is nice, being an autobiography there's loads of kit on it

Are you keeping the 4.2 sc? Two range rovers , that's a mad a as two maseratis
I had no intention of selling it until this came up, I won't know until this TDV8 has been through an MOT but as it's never failed one I'm expecting a pass or minor fail

If it passes I'll be selling the SC, it's definitly a project car, my intention was to work through the jobs that need doing but in the 18 months I've owned it it's not let me down once
