Don’t even ask how much 100 octane “Racing” fuel is on the German Autobahn.

An l322 is the best car ever made in my eyes, had quite alot or lr’s & rr’s have been running this one for about 2 1/2 years 40+k miles.

Shes a 4.4 m62 running lpg, spent really not alot keeping her going maintenance wise and get about 200-250 on a tank of lpg (£50-£55) don’t think I could ever replace it im a complete fan boy .IMG_6623.jpeg

I really like the L405 but I'd need to put 20k to this for one and it'll still be 10 years old, in 5 years it'll be 10k whereas the L322 may even start to appreciate as only the good ones are left.

Mine needs some money spending on it which I'll probably do to get everything working , amazingly for £2500 it came with a fully stamped service book , I've spent about £500 on it so far but most of that was rear brakes and abs sensor to get it through the mot

Hard to justify the extra for an l405, parts for l322’s are so cheap as well. Not many things cost much more than £100

My local garage lent me a 60 plate 4.4 tdv8 that another customer had for sale. It lasted precisely 15 miles before stranding me for 7 hours! I know it was just one of those things, could have happened next week, last week, whenever but it does rather put you off!

In the 13 months I've had it my 4.2 supercharged petrol hasn't stranded me anywhere , I wouldn't have a diesel , they just aren't suited to stop start traffic and short trips where they don't get hot enough to burn the soot away.

I really like the discovery 4 but they don't do it with a petrol engine in the UK and the V6 diesel with its body off for many jobs and crank snapping problems really puts me off.

I was so close to buying a 12 plate disco 4 from a woman in Scotland it all sounded fantastic , she'd spent thousands on it fixing things that weren't broken

I was in , right up to the point she told me she was getting a company car so had parked it up , now that could well have been don't drive it because something might explode but with the reputation they have I couldn't risk there being a big problem on the horizon so somebody told her to get rid.

If they did a petrol disco 4 I'd definitely buy one

Interesting points indeed and for me as a mechanic on the tools for 45 years it's only petrol cars for me to see me out now.
The problems modern diesels give you today and the cost of putting them right just not worth it for me.
Plenty of nice older and better made Cool cars still out there tells you something ;)

Afternoon all. So just had an email from my current insurers and they will not insure my L405 when the policy elapses as they do not insure Range Rovers anymore. Does anybody know any marque specialists that they can recommend for insurance. Greatly appreciated.

Shame the other car will get scratched when you walk in between and dinged when you open the door to get in.
I got in, just , but they probably have a dent in their door now , there was about 3ft the other side of their car.

I cant believe how many morons are allowed to drive , there's a post office near me with a pub and a school next door , a D shaped road goes in and out , for 35 years it's been 2 way but a month ago they changed it to 1 way

I only go there maybe 3 times a week and no word of a lie every time I go I meet a woman or white van man driving the wrong way , they've even put a temporary no left turn sign to go with the massive 1 way arrows on the road , the no entry signs and 1 way signs to no avail

I even had one woman shouting at me for being on the wrong side of the road at the exit when I was turning right as she tried driving in .

I've hammered my l322 since purchase end May done, 6000 miles, south of France and numerous trips to northern Scotland and its got its first fault, rear wiper not working. Averaged 22.9 over 6000 miles which I'm more than happy with, from.a jag 4.4 petrol
