I might have a nice pair of low mileage 4200 back boxes surplus to requirements shortly. Had a bid on Ebay left on that I forgot about and won them not expecting to! The current plan will no longer require them. Don't owe me much.

Spartacus really interesting to hear your video clips as sounds similar to mine. I decated and have Larini h-pipe and rears. I'm still not convinced since sticking the h-pipe on, its v. loud now and spits and bangs like a goodun' on the downshift, upshift and overrun...

Infact sounds a little like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ua-0wSn0azs

Nice colour facelift you have there...:approve:

So it was you who got them... I was watching but too committed with the Alfa engine swap to do anything about it!

Some very nice sounding Maser's on here now. Should have come out of the factory like this but then we would have much less to talk about, discuss, no trials or tribulations. Also more cash in our pockets....far too sensible surely! The dark side beckons ;) The force is strong.

My Ebay ID is 'rockinternet' so if that was the one then yes it was me ;) I bid on them when I saw them as had a plan. Then forgot about the bid not expecting to win them only to win them. I have changed my plans now so unlikely they will get used. I am sure someone will use them for the right purpose and as intended!

For anyone who is concerned that their car is too loud, i suggest taking the new Jaguar F type R for a test drive. I cannot believe the noise that thing makes. It sounds like permanent gunfire

I'd agree with that. Had the pleasure of doing a Jaguar/EVO day at Millbrook last year in various F Type models. Awesome car....loved it. Would have been a difficult decision if it was the same price as my Maser!

First box apart and completely gutted, 2 1/2" pipe used in a slightly different configuration to Martyn or Maverick as it is what I had around the place in stainless.

Odd that the inlet pipe is so off centre but nothing some imaginative angles cannot overcome! I'm going to tack the outer end onto the lid of the box so it doesn't rattle. May as well put the wadding back as leave it in a bag in the garage!
