Be interesting to see what’s on that inspection report …
I asked CCA for a copy of this inspection report and they've just come back to me to say that 'there are only invoices from H R Owen' so don't count on finding anything as informative as an inspection report if you're thinking of viewing this on 9th.

If you get it plugged into a suitable system that can read the gearbox, the true mileage will be revealed, if indeed there is and doubt. Irrespective of what the odometer says, every gearchange is logged permanently.
I thought it only showed number of each gear selection? Not actual mileage?

Well a few years ago Voicey came to look at a car for me, he was able to 'confirm' the mileage was accurate, about the only thing that was right with that particular conker damaged car!

I think the SD2 gives you miles travelled in each gear, so having got that data it's a simple addition sum for comparison against the odometer. However, it seems unlikely that anyone will be able to carry that out at auction viewing(?) ...

I have only ever seen the below on SD2, interested to see otherwise.

Presumably, a manual car read out would be populated with many more zeros than that….

I admit I thought it was stored as well, but just checked all the scans Voicey took of my 4200, and nothing there either

It is stored on the 4200 cambio corsa and the GS. Not sure if its stored on a manual 4200.

You can read the miles in each gear data for 4200cc and GS on both the SD2 and launch x431 series. Im not sure if you can print it from either though.

Yeah ... 'distance run' in each gear is on the second page but they're all reading zero here for some reason(?). I've only read about this way of checking mileage on Ferrari F1 systems. I was assuming it also works on Maserati's but maybe not!
Yes you can read the miles in each on the cambio corsa and GS cars and i pressume the F1 MC shift GT cars too.

I doubt it is stored on a manual car though but never worked on one to confirm either way.

Good to know, as I’ve never seen it on an Maz, only Ferraris.
For the maz I’ve only ever seen the above either gear selection counters or distance traveled always showing 0.
Could you share a screen shot when you have chance?

And just like that, I'm officially a member of the club! Forgive the splash and dash petrol station picture, but it was a long drive home and it was pitch dark by the time I got home to take more.

Many thanks to @Andy4200 for passing his wonderful car down to me, it was even better in person than in pictures. By the by, everyone, This car felt in far, FAR better shape inside and out than the one I test drove which had less than half the miles! A real testament to the fettling Andy has done over the last few years.

The first 250 miles were a real grinfest, here's hoping that the next few thousand will be more of the same!
