Hi everyone!

I actually managed 8 days without looking at the forum, not once not even a little peek! Got home safely from Sharm El Sheihk at 04.30 so just 2 hours in bed before facing the day today. Didn't tell anyone work wise I was back so I could ease myself into things. Lovely week in the end, did a day trip to Cairo flew up and back with added security following the stupidity of the weekend; convoy police escort from Cairo airport, did the museum, Nile boat trip & lunch on the banks, papirus museum, pyramids on camels!!! Sphinx, Bedouin house and more. I went to Dahab to see a friend which involved a 90 mile taxi ride each way = £50 all in! and just one day on a boat SCUBA diving but great fun.

Back to reality if bleary eyed this morning I managed 11.30 before I had a need for speed and found lots of places the Maserati needed to visit including Southend and South Woodham...

Did I miss much?

Good to have you back Newton! Sounds like an excellent break for you - hardly any sitting still at all!

Back from the Rockingham track session with Susie earlier today. She's completely hooked... :) A one-to-one session with their chief instructor has paid off handsomely; lots learned, huge grin on her face, and tyres that look like they've been very warm indeed... And not once was I shouted at - result!

Another (longer) session in her own car, with some more instruction, then she'll be ready to have a go in mine:

...and no, I don't mean the QP. There's not much difference in performance... ;)

Morning everyone. What a storm last night, about as loud & bright as I can ever remember. There doesn't seem to be any damage on first look and now the sun's out again, crazy weather!

Have a good day everyone

Morning all, spectacular storm last night, some very loud bangs and I think they survived at work. I'm always nervous as I look after electronic things with big metal masts attached to them. House hunting again today...anyone on here an estate agent?

Morning all, big storm last night so some damp campers in the village this morning. It is feeling really muggy at the moment so there may be more to come

Wish dad a speedy recovery Chris, power out to the whole of Romford in the storm last night which sent Alex home from the pub (rather wobbly) through an unlit subway which he had the presence of mind to photo! Said it required a hand on the side to make it! I still have Mummy's revenge keeping me within sight of the loo! Jeanette is off to the Hampton Court flower show in the Alfa in a bit and I'm going to replace the cylinders on the Aygo rear brakes if I can get them. May even wash the Mas as it is filthy... And covered with flies from my blast yesterday :D

Have fun all....

Morning, all.

Martin, good luck!

Muggy here as well. Rained cats and dogs last night. Maser washed (finally - it was still adorned with gite mud from Le Mans and lots of French flies. It was a pretty cursory wash - I have some ironx to try out but that's for a cooler day with more time. It has a few bits of work and cosmetic fettling coming up so a thorough wash and wax can wait.

Have a good day, all.
