Indeed not. It's just Pinot Noir I have issues with.

Agree, out of all the red grapes I am not a massive fan of Pinot, too earthy and dull a taste and that's because it's a real hardy grape, needs a real cold sea chill to in order to thrive, the best Pinot's I've ever tasted have been the Napa Valley wines as they rely on the cold pacific winds and the terroir must be just right. NZ Pinot's ain't too bad though.

Yep. I can cope with it really cold in a hot climate :)

I still have powers of a constable as a result of my job and know my local bobbies well.

The best one I recall was at the Mermaid Inn in Rye. Billy Burglar jumps over a garden wall into the pubs garden, to many shrieks from the diners, swiftly followed by local cop. I was enjoying a nice seafood platter with a young lady I was hoping to get my way with.

I instinctively darted up and tackled him to the floor, restrained him and helped to search and cuff him. After the van arrived to take them away I rejoined said lady whos mouth was still wide open. Dusted my self off and said...now where were we...to be greated by huge snog...I was in!!

As some will know the Mermaid was used to billet US troops prior to D Day, and as such many of them return to show family and friends where they spent the War...a few moments later a portly American came over and said. "You Sir deserve a drink and plonked a bottle of Pol Roger on the table which was greatfully received.

Well as I was driving I said to my date...you will have to drink most of this as Im driving...her reply was to lets share...we could always spend the night here...which we did...I will leave the rest to your imagination but said plum American did see us a breakfast and asked if the drink help my chances.

Great tale!

Morning all,

A few last minute things to do before the holiday this morning. Skies look to be clearing so that's good.

Safe trip Andy

Have a great day all

Morning, forum. Racking in the garage today, which will be fun. It also appears that I will require an angle grinder. How sad :D

Have a great day all

Morning everyone! A stomp in the Pentlands and then the afternoon and evening with a bit of the Fringe. Never been before, so I'm quite excited.

Morning all, angle grinder Chris, I have 4 x 4 1/2" (230v, 110v, 2x 18v), 2 x 9" (230v &110v) plus the 14" chop saw which sort of counts! I have actually used all of them this week! Today I am continuing with the gypsy deterrent upgrades to the parking meters, hopefully completing several machines today.

Have fun all...

Careless use of an angle grinder can do that.

Morning, all.

Especially a 9"
In some parts of the world they are banned!

I would say a large proportion of accidents that occur at our work across the group involve an angle grinder, and mostly a 9 incher.
A plasma cutter is a better solution where possible, and are being used more and more instead of large angle grinders.
