Push on a bit further and you have the Hotel Val-Moret outside Troyes. Hotel is basic, but the food is sensational

Thanks Navcorr.
That was my suspicison but having never attempted this sort of thing before I thought I'd throw it out there for the forum to mull over! So still don't know what to do... Gala dinner the night before....!

Troyes is a bit of a drive? Like the idea of Millau bridge thoughPush on a bit further and you have the Hotel Val-Moret outside Troyes. Hotel is basic, but the food is sensational

About 8 hours according to Google so might be a bit of a slog. Need to think about how far it is to Zeebrugge on the Monday.
...the Lloret De Mar night clubs are only a few minutes walk from there too.
...and the Gala meal which is now going to be held on the Friday in Spain and not the Saturday in France due to the long drive home:

UPDATE:
Its been a week or so since the last update so here is where we are up to.
All hotels bar the final night are booked and paid for
The ferry is all booked and paid for
The Gala meal is booked and I will pay on the night. Its at the Atics and we have the terrace over looking the beach. The Gala meal will included, start, main, sweet and coffee, plus a welcome cocktail/drink on arrival and a bottle of wine between 4 a the table. Anything else will need paying for.
Catamaran is booked as I managed to get them down to €50 per head instead of €75 which is much more reasonable. This will consist of a 4 to 5 hour excursion, lunch/dinner and anchor off a private beach to swim or just relax. It does have 2 toilets on board also.
We have had to move the Gala meal once again to another day earlier so the Gala meal will be at 8pm on the Thursday we arrive in Lloret and the Catamaran trip will be 2pm on the Friday. I have to pay a minimum of €1500 or 30 people so if you drop out you still pay.
All payments will be taken from the reserve money you have already paid.
Final night, Saturday will be in France as we want to make the 800 mile trek home a bit less of a chore so current thoughts are to head up and over the Milau Bridge then stop, leaving a lesser journey to the ferries on the last day.
More to follow...
