Excuse my ignorance, Loz, but is this something that can be done without the FD DBW installed?
The reason I ask is that my car 'seems' to slip in first and second, or rather, it would be explained better by saying that it appears to take too long to engage fully, less so in sport, but still changes are too.... languid.
I phoned the independent I've used and he emailed me a 'clutch release solenoid reset procedure' to try. I did this, and it has made it considerably worse. It changes rapidly at high revs as it should, but reeaaalllly slowly at low revs and speed, as if the clutch is slipping, though I'm not sure it is the clutch. There's certainly no chance of a quite take off! Andy would no doubt explain what it is doing far better than I, as unfortunately for him he had it after the reset, (and I haven't wanted to drive it since it's return on Saturday for fear of getting it dirty! Andy detailed it for me, looks fantastic!)
I've an appointment with DL's tomorrow for a clutch wear reading. It doesn't jump out of gear, neither does it slip once in gear. Can I ask the dealer do the PIS adjustment, I guess is what I need to know?
