I think you're right about front and rear. I think I can see a seam line on the first photo, though

C

The new ones have a seam line too.. it's just the material is much thicker and the seam is machined off down the sides, removing stress points...

Just seen that the latest issue of Autocar has printed my letter questioning Maseratis attitude to spares availability/cost for their older cars... reckon somewhere in Modena is a dartboard with my name/face on it :)

If you wake up in the morning with a dead horse head on your side, you know you are being heard in Italy :)

Had a promising meeting today, could develop in to something really interesting and maybe solve our current situation with Maserati lack of quality, all will be revealed in good time..!!

I had a 16 year old jaguar XK8 , got a letter from jag about a safety recall on the throttle body where you could suddenly lose power on full throttle which if you were overtaking could prove fatal

Some cars just needed a software update, some a new throttle body, given the size of jaguar compared to Maserati I'd think that cost a lot more, and what would be the actual cost of the arms bought in bulk €200 each

I had the same with a 12 year old ML Mercedes. Recall to fit new brake switch. There must be a good few of them out there.

What about 4200 's because mine was attacked by tin worm and failed the MOT last year. Bit of TLC and MIG, and it flew the last one. Surely early 4200's would come under that recall -

I don't know about that but it would make sense - no doubt someone on here will be able to confirm or otherwise your main dealer or Maserati head office will be able to confirm

I thought I should mention, for the benefit of some particular French Maseratitude members, that there are a few members from this forum working behind the scenes on behalf of all Maserati Owners worldwide and we are doing this at our cost, with no profit to be gained from the eventual result of our efforts..!! If you do not like that, be sure not to try and benefit from the items that may be offered to improve your vehicle in the not too distant future..!!
Thank You..!!

I will chime in here and say thanks very much to anyone working behind the scenes at their time and cost with regards to this matter. I really think that there is only one result that should take place here and if I were Maserati it would still be the same result. It is to their benefit and gain that they deal with this in the correct fashion. Maybe that is why I have a small business and a much smaller bank balance than Maserati but I sleep well at night ;)

Thanks all....happy to help where I can.

Robert

Still waiting for more news via john Corcoran at DVSA. Last email was received on 11th August 2015, and indicated they were "waiting for maserati". Begging to despair of an end to all of this.

My own 3200 has been off the road since end of October 2014, so I cannot be accused of impatience.
