Edd China is not a mechanic, he is aided by a team who find and source all the bits etc.

If you look at old top-gear, where they create a 007 car [a rover 800] edd is one of the boffins who installed the gadgets.

Both he and the other guy are just presenters with some auto history/knowleage

Peter, I think he is pretty talented when it comes to mechanics, I do know that in his younger days, he stripped an re built many VW's. He also occasionally calls on a mate Paul, who always seems to be present, so yes, he is probably getting advise from a trained mechanic.

He's not a mechanic as such, but you're misinformed about him being just a presenter with a bit of auto knowledge. He has an engineering degree and owns a company which builds bespoke vehicles for promotions/events etc. He's the guy who built the motorised sofa, motorised garden shed etc. and also holds a Guinness world record for fastest furniture (a sofa that reached almost 100mph!!). He does the majority of the work and is sometimes assisted by his 'mate' Paul who is the technical advisor.

Hey Loz....what do you think it would cost to get someone to rip a kitchen out and knock down a wall that separates the kitched from the dining room....Old house so a solid wall which I think would need a RSJ...Just a educated guess mate as you are the man.

If I spent the kitchen money on a car then I would be eating in a new kitchen without a shadow...but at the YMCA...
