Yes they are....The competition looks really nice I must say. Bet it's a fast car. No CSL though...The M3 GTS is the one to out do the CSL, but at 116k and all sold out it's bit much I would say.

E46 CSL is a far better drivers car than the new M3...Drove the new one and never wamted it over my CSL....There are only 2 M3's that capture the essence of the M...E30 and E46 CSL for me..

mak260, what E30 have you got...Any pics to share...

A 325i M-Tech2. Pic on previous page and another here to show the interior I had retrimmed last year:

It's a manual. I think the autos are too slow, even in 'sports' mode. It has a few engine mods so goes quite well, but I keep thinking about dropping a bigger engine in it. Their following is unbelievable and prices have been going steadily up for a while. I picked mine up at a price I couldn't walk away from and then spent a few quid getting it up to my anal standards. New interior, new suspension and brakes and lots of little bits of trim etc. that had worn out after 20 years. It's now also wearing some different 17" x-spoke wheels and Yokohama tyres, can't find any pics though! The wheels in the pics are Alpina replicas and were shocking quality, so bad they shook the car over about 60mph and just had to be replaced. You can get an exceptional one for £5k, so dirt cheap really and highly unlikely to depreciate. I doubt mine owes me more than £3.5k in total, but I was lucky to buy it for peanuts. As with all old cars, rust is the enemy.

Just got me really missing my 3200 looking at these pics taken last year:

MAF, that is really nice..Looking on PH there a few on there going from 3.5k to 9k, depending on year and mileage....If you ever decide to get rid give me a shout first.

I know what you mean about rust..I had a few bubbles on my CSL which was 2003 and have a few starting on the M5 as well which I am about to get sorted once I find someone to do it.....But then I had some on the 3200 as well.....Ah well comes to the best I suppose....Remember my Fiat X19 was have some car with you rust sir.

Of course, but no intention to sell it. Since I've owned it I've had numerous offers for it. Some from a BMW forum I frequent, 2 notes under the wipers when parked and just last week a shop owner approached me when I returned to it parked outside his shop (sunny day, hood down) and demanded I sell it to him! He was so disappointed when I told him it wasn't for sale. Thinking about it I reckon I've had more attention in the BMW than I ever did in the Mas. It's now considered an 'old skool' classic and being shiny and bright red it seems to draw looks everywhere.

Bet you do....You will have no problem selling when you decide to. Good ones are very rare these days.

Not much, just a bit of bubbling on leading edge of the boot..hard to see it's so small. But I know it's there and stuff like that bugs me......most start to show there first to be honest.

Yeah, my mates dad has a 523 e39 and he has bubbling on the bootlid, mind you it has done 239,000 miles.

Just watched the Subaru Impreza WRX from the latest series, WTF were those tacky stickers all about, Horrid, apart from that, it was a nice Scoob.

Not saying the Scoob is bad, used to love them when i was a nipper, 22B was my fave, but those stripes Mike put on the car they "restored" looked shite. You seen any from the latest series?
