Thanks Andy, I have sourced a car and all will be revealed in a few weeks.
I have become so comfortable making illogical car choices that I am now seeking an addition to the GS in the form of a QP. I am struggling to find reasons why I need a QP ,so far I have dreamed up a scenario where I need a larger car for transporting the family on weekends away and ignored the fact that we have a large Volvo for doing this!
Well I thought that I should really update this thread with my new purchase.
After my initial post a few weeks ago Ewan kindly PM'd me and offered his lovely Quattroporte. Pretty hard to resist that car with the spec and history I wanted plus the added bonus of the Tubi exhaust!
2 days and 550 miles later the car is now safely back up in Aberdeen sitting with it's Italian cousin.
First impressions were great, very comfy on the long haul journeys and great out and about the open countryside roads in sport mode. I generally don't bother with manual mode as you can still override the up changes with a pull of the paddle when you want to and I let the car do the down changes by itself.
Twelve days of rain has meant I haven't had a chance to get some proper photos of the car yet but I have washed it every day so far... The joys of yet another black car.
To sum up, the family and myself are delighted with the QP V, long may it continue. The neighbors have taken to the car quite well already and I bet they're chuffed it's got a Tubi on it like the Gallardo! lol

More ideas to help satisfy my imagination/man maths are welcome!
Ha Ha... of course the Volvo will do the job... it's just no-one wants to go in it.... A weekend away starts when you get in the car... not when you arrive...any opportunity for a decent trip and you're looking to find a way to use the GS... compromising passenger comfort and bare essentials for luggage..
Face it out run, a QP just makes sense...save the Volvo for troops to the dump...
