Hello folks,

Well after 10 years of admiring the Quattroporte I feel that it is time to have one in my life.

I've had a good old read through the forums for the last few days and although I had placed a deposit on a full auto, the wife decided she wasn't up for trading her car for one. Spoil sport...

So, not to be out done I am forced to lower the budget and look for an earlier Duoselect car, but this time for myself. Having discounted the Duoselect before, reading the words of the actual owners has made me think that I'd quite like it if I'm honest.

If anyone is considering parting with their pride and joy in the near future feel free to PM me with details.

Also, if there are any Forum members with a Quattroporte in the NE of Scotland, I'd love to meet up and have a look over your car.

Great forum guys, hope to be a full on member soon.

Paul

A big warm welcome Paul.....Great car the QP....Every time I drive one it amazes me how they handle ...They feel like a much smaller car.....Look forward to hearing you journey into Maserati ownership and seeing the car you buy...

Thanks folks! Really looking forward to finding the right car. I have seen that blue one before Allan, and there used to be a lovely black one which rolled past my mothers house on occasion. Though, I've not seen many more in Aberdeen at all. Andyk, reading over the threads you must check the for sale adds as much as I do! Hopefully you can help my search too. ;)

Yep Paul, daily routine is to check what's for sale......I hoping to be in a QP next year .......... My favourite QP for sale at the moment is your neck of the woods.....Not to everyones taste as it has red leather but I love it....Shame I wasn't ready...

What year and spec are you looking for Paul .............. Richard Grace cars is always a good place to start...Sold lots of cars to memebers and really knows his Maserati...Not close to you as he is in Cheshire but is well worth a call.

Hi Andy, yup, mine too. In fact, if I'm honest I check probably ever hour. :) Yes, the Grey car with the red leather is an option and I'll probably go and have a look at it once I'm back in the country. There's no email address for the seller, just a phone number so I'll leave it till I get home. I was looking for a 07/08 Auto GT Sport and did actually leave a deposit on the Grey/Cream car at qualitycarstoday. My wife then changed her mind, and said that I couldn't trade her Audi against it so I'm now looking for a 06/07 Black/Cream Duo-select GT Sport ideally. Yes, I've looked at Dickys cars for a few months and I've also got Phil at PK Supercars sniffing about for me too. A new one has popped up on PH so I've emailed about it this morning, I know I'm going to have to travel to get what I want though. Budget now is 16-18k.

The grey with red leather I love.....but they don't mention history on the advert.....If it's a good one and you buy it I will be jealous...Not many Sport GT's under 20k unless lots of miles. There is a Sport GT in black, cream leather but 78k on the clock which I'm sure you've seen.....

Yup, the grey one doesn't give me the warm and fuzzy feeling about it, but it might be a gem and just a cr@p advert. I'll let you know. The Black one you mention is sold now.

just looked and see it's gone.....The dealer selling it had a bit of bad press a number of years back if I remember right, But that was a long time ago and they are still going.

Thanks Andy, I've already sent them an email. Doesn't mention interior colour there though but I'll find out soon hopefully.
