Jacked the rear of the car up (54 Plate 4200CC) and proceeded to remove both road wheels, well I tried to.
I couldn't believe how tight the wheel bolts were.
Had to drop the car back onto the ground and use a combination of impact gun and long breaker bar. Finally, around an hour, beat them into submission but not after suffering a terminal failure with my Britool 17mm socket, an old trusted friend now departed to the socket set in the sky.
Sorry for the rant but I'm really piffed off as to why anyone would tighten them so much. I shall be using a torque wrench when re-fitting.
