As much as the PM might want to encourage it, the notion of vaccination passports/certificates for domestic use is a non-starter on so many levels, although it will probably be added to the list for international travel. He should resist the temptation to comment on every stupid idea, and concentrate on the more important issues such as rebuilding Hadrian's Wall while there's still time.

After a few years away with as much freedom as required , I should be fearful of returning to the UK if you listen to just 50% of the diatribe spouted on the media and YouTube in particular , Now Farage has gone who is the voice of reason and logic to get us out of the mess it appears we are in

I guess you’re right but this impacts a vastly bigger proportion of the population.
What’s your view onthe families with kids......seems to me they’d be excluded?

What about those exempt with medical conditions?
I remember not be allowed in 30 something’s pubs for lunch when I had my 3 year old with me. And that was 20 years ago. No change.

What is this concept that we wish, and must all get back to the pubs? Personally I hate the majority of them, full of drunks talking bo!!ox , and football on a TV.
I bet I hate more of them than you do...

I can see vaccine passports coming in for Aus and NZ but everyone will need to use the non stop flights into Perth, WA, as a gateway as the main issue is the lack of vaccine roll out in Asia at stop off hubs. I love going to Africa and was speaking to the travel agent the other day and he was reckoning it will be a long time before that opens up again.

Serious merdé going on here now with massive new number of infections yesterday.
I think France will be shut down this year :(

Because 3% might die

Enough of this , take the vaccine and take your chances , don't take the vaccine and opt out of hospitalisation if you get ill

Same as 3rd party V comprehensive

If you've had the vaccine you're on fully comp so the NHS will do everything they can to save you

No vaccine, 3rd party , you can visit the doctor or sell your house and go private if you need to go to hospital

This cannot go on, the price is too high , I wonder how many young people are dead either by not being treated or suicide

Not trying to stir the pot, but here are some actual numbers from our state (NC, USA).
Total cases to date: 901,262
Total deaths: 11,860
Mortality rate: 1.3%
Number of tests: 11,087,748 (in a population of about 10 mil.).
Restaurants have been open @ 50% cap. since Aug. Bars since Sept. Schools are on a rotating schedule of virtual and classroom.
Life here is about 90% normal, masks are required, but not strictly enforced.
The economy is back up and doing fine, virtually all at risk citizens have been jabbed, essential folks have had at least one stick, and anyone can call and get the vaccine if doses are available at the end of each day.
No travel restrictions at all.
Seems to me that its time to push things back to normal
