They are but it's really not helped by Von Der Leyen, who seems to be **** bent on behaving like some dictator from WW2. The EU need to get rid of her before it results in irreversible damage between the UK and the EU nations. Time that certain people on both sides of the 'fence' grew up TBH.
What worries me is if she does bring about an all out EU ban on vaccine Exports, then this will be reciprocated by the UK, maybe worse.

I like her, I do fantasize about her though in bed at night to be honest.

A very sharp looking woman. Perhaps I should have posted in "other birds" thread where it would be appreciated.

But not the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to vaccine contracting and politics

Although it probably wasn't actually her that screwed it up, but she still is responsible.

I see she's still rattling her syringe this morning

This isn’t going away for years and years....if ever at this rate.

'This is grotesque': WHO chief condemns countries like UK over 'self-defeating' vaccine rollout
WHO director-general Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said it was “shocking” how little rich countries have done to avert a “catastrophic moral failure”

Read in Yahoo News UK: https://apple.news/AMBvvnkhpRAuSahmU0gfVLw

There’s even a suggestion that “Countries that are now vaccinating younger, healthy people at low risk of disease are doing so at the cost of the lives of health workers, older people and other at-risk groups in other countries”

Yup, that’s because a “blanket” approach to dealing with this has been applied to everyone from day 1......no regard to risk related to age, race, underlying health issuessmoker, obesity etc.

Everyone is classed as high risk. That’s it.

The fear mongering is unbelievable.

Today sky had an interview with a headlined “Relative of a covid survivor”......like it was an unusual occurrence. With over 97% surviving (pre vaccine) i’m staggered they were able to locate one.

Wtf!!

WHO’s Tedros said vaccinating entire populations “may buy short-term security” but unless poorer countries get their share, it is “a false sense of security”.This is because the emergence of new variants makes it more likely the virus will mutate into strains that can evade vaccines, he said.

As long as the virus continues to circulate everywhere — anywhere — people will continue to die," he said. “Trade and travel will continue to be disrupted and the economic recovery will be further delayed.”

So there you have it. Liberty and social welfare as you know it gone -as some people will die.

Be afraid.

and a 4th, 5th,6th........

I fear Boris is caught between a rock and a hard place, but one thing is for sure , he will undoubtedly ruin his Brexit legacy if he doesn't very quickly start making positive moves to reverse all the emergency power that were grabbed early on , he seems to be in the grips of a suicide mission by trying to grab more , ..,..very George Orwell IMHO

Looking at the increase in the rate of infections again on mainland Europe and the slow rate of vaccinations I can see this year being a write off again.
Looks like the UK is putting France in the Red for travel.

Still no side effects from the AZ vaccine other than feeling a bit nauseous for about an hour yesterday evening

Welcome to the majority :)

And 100% prevention of hospitalisation as well.

Good innit.

Also a piece in the new about success against the current variants. Curious that that's not being shouted from the rooftops....

Just spent since 5am this morning catching up on this thread ...............very Donald Sutherland " negative Vibes man " time we spread a bit of positivity .................I thought ive been living in a bubble ........................No health care here to speak of ....................no piles of bodies lining the streets ....................no vaccine as yet ......................though i believe its on its way ..................only people wearing masks are NGO and UN types and thats because its mandatory for them .....................but discard them at every opportunity .......... and still no one has answered the question or supplied the European data on the crematoriums , surely if we have had the number of extra deaths due to Covid they would have been working overtime ..................the london ones and major cities possibly working 24/7 is that the case ...............either way most on here have been very compliant ...................why has the world government/organisations been so slow to admit that we have taken part in a massive over reaction to what appears to be just another flue we have to learn to live with
