Had my stabby jab yesterday at Stoneleigh, the Oxfam Aston Zagato one, not the Tizer one. Very quick and very efficient, in and out like Flint. Bit sore, but glad it's done. Disappointed that there was no lollipop and a quick cuddle afterwards though.

Onwards!

Still no side effects from the AZ vaccine other than feeling a bit nauseous for about an hour yesterday evening
Felt like Sh-t for 36 hours ( like getting flu - very common with AZ vaccine apparently) then 100% OK. I also felt a bit nauseous as did the missus. Extremely efficient process at the vaccination centre. My only gripe is we had to drive 56 mile round trip to get it and our 2nd one is now booked but the closest vaccination hub offered on the NHS website means an 80 mile round trip.
I expect that we will get a call from our local medical practice (2 miles away) in about 2 months time to check to see if we've had our vaccinations. Once pace up here...snailspace!

“May be up to individual publicans”

What? Where’s the science behind that then? Can kids go in?

That’s selective.

This is becoming the greatest liberty grab in history.

If you’re vaccinated, how is someone who isn’t, endangering you?
If they are it must surely mean mandatory vaccination of everyone, kids, babies etc because that’s the only way to eradicate it.

You are correct it is selective, but if one out of two local pubs near to me decide that one of them will only cater for those that have been vaccinated, then it is up to me which one I go to and spend my money. I can also be selective, I will go to the one where everyone has had to be vaccinated. It’s a very basic example I know, but a lot of people will do the same, unfortunately the pub will be packed, but the landlord will be smiling.

So there’s no science. It’s purely giving landlords the choice of who they let in and out.
Will families (mum and dad vaccinated) with unvaccinated kids be allowed in?

It would be funny if every pub landlord in the UK turned out to be anti vaccine and then only admitted unvaccinated patrons through “selective” choice wouldn’t it! What an own goal that would be.
I’m sure the law would be reversed in that situation.

It’s nothing to do with “public safety” is it.
It can’t be. Why just landlords then, why not shops, garages, swimming pools, any public indoor space etc where people mix- or is that next?

Are you going to do the same on public transport, and at work and at school.....only mix with those vaccinated? You gonna ask everyone you meet for their certificate.....run away from kids you see?
This is ridiculous.

It’s a bit like insisting all care home workers are vaccinated......then allowing all the care home residents to receive regular visits from their unvaccinated grandchildren they’ve been longing to see for a year.

School kids are “a risk” aren’t they? I mean that’s why all the schools were closed for a year wasn’t it?
Or did I miss something?

I believe landlords have always had the choice of who they let in and who they don’t.
I guess you’re right but this impacts a vastly bigger proportion of the population.
What’s your view onthe families with kids......seems to me they’d be excluded?

What about those exempt with medical conditions?
