Well I see the important Europeans are now all back on track with the Astra Zeneca vaccine. What a waste of four days when their third wave is now amongst them.

Now here's a thing. So the occurrence of vascular clotting events with Pfizer BionTech vaccine is pretty much identical to Astra Zenica.

How come this isn't getting air time??

And as the clotting is caused by the antibodies and not the actual vaccine itself it is most likely the same incidence rate among all the vaccines?

Not quite. The French Authorities are only saying that the AZ vaccine can be used for over 55's. Why? God only knows. This is after only a couple of weeks ago when it could not be given to people over 65. Frankly they dont have a scooby what they're doing but one thing for sure, they have just switched off millions of French people who may have had the vaccination previously but now probably won't. Its complete absurdity...

Apparently the major constituent of the Pfizer vaccine is made in....UK.

So there may be an issue......

They are but it's really not helped by Von Der Leyen, who seems to be **** bent on behaving like some dictator from WW2. The EU need to get rid of her before it results in irreversible damage between the UK and the EU nations. Time that certain people on both sides of the 'fence' grew up TBH.
What worries me is if she does bring about an all out EU ban on vaccine Exports, then this will be reciprocated by the UK, maybe worse.

Pfizer today warned the EU to back down on vaccine threats to the UK. They stated that the firm ‘heavily’ depends on the UK for vital ingredients required to produce the vaccine. They stated to the commission that if the UK a were to shutdown that supply, the whole vaccine production process could grind to a halt in weeks. That warning to the EU was not political, it came from Pfizer it’s self.
Let’s hope that common sense and logic prevails here, but so far I don’t see any common sense or logic being demonstrated by certain European countries, all trying to cover up shortfalls in their own vaccine ordering, administration and roll out. And that is being polite !
